Was looking for good value for the money as Hotels in Sri Lanka is terribly expensive comparing to similar Hotels in other countries. Excellent value for the money. Will recommed to others. Management was very helpful to visitors with guidance and advice. Thank you Trip Advisor for helping us to locate Ariya. Buffet has a real good spread. Not spicy...

After a long hot day travelling from Colombo and then climbing Sigiriya we were ready for a hot shower, meal and a comfortable bed. Our driver booked us into Ariya Rest House and we were greeted very warmly and shown our room. Our initial room was large with 3 double beds (for my family of 3) with an adjoining shower...

My husband and I ate lunch at Ariya's restaurant. The food was great and varied, the people who worked there were very kind and generous and the price was fair(more than all the other places we have been to). We highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

The room itself was clean but very tired. Hot water was only a dribble but I did manage to clean myself. Pillows were hard and need replacing and far too many mosquitoes in the room. Restaurant was very good and I enjoyed my meal. Staff are excellent.

I had the pleasure of staying here after a long day exploring both Sigiraya and Polonnaruwa. The owner and staff are welcoming and very friendly and accommodating. The room was basic but very clean. The bed was comfortable and the fan and air conditioning worked perfectly to make my stay relaxing. The mosquito net was essential and worked to keep...

We went to Ariya Rest House after visiting Polonaruwa's archeological site. The place is very simple but perfectly clean. The hosts and waitress are great and smily. And you can be sure to discover delicious - and not too spicy- Sri Lankan food. There's a very nice "all you can eat" buffet with every type of vegetarian delights and some...
