Kassapa was a great spot for my solo trips, rooms are located in individual houses so you have all the privacy you need, Even the simple trip from the buffet to my room feels like an adventure as the hotel is designed very well. Great food and staff, rooms are comfortable too. Deffinetely would reccomend!

Really nice hotel with excellent service. Wait staff were outstanding. The buffet is very good with separate cooled room for salads and deserts. It would help to keep the food warm though. Great grounds for a stroll and a very welcome clean swimming pool. The rooms are generous and laid out like chalets in a game park. Reminded us of Africa. The open shower is probably not a good idea. Walls are stained and it's quite mouldy. Perhaps wifi in reception would also be a good idea

Like everywhere else, the staff is super friendly! Making your stay very enjoyable with good service and hospitality. A very big and well upkept garden makes it a peaceful place. Clean rooms (a bit outdated though), clean pool and food was nice. In the evening a buffet and also in the morning a lot of choice! I would recommend it! Special thanks to the excellent waiter Sandhi!

Great location close to national wildlife preserves. Room was nice and spacious. Raining in the shower was a first. Hearing the jungle sounds is very pleasant. Enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend.

We enyoid our 4 night stay during our trip to Sri Lanka. I had a special request to do some decoration in the room at our arrival because of the birthday of my boyfriend. They did it well, we also got a cake. The staff is friendly, but not always understanding what you say and ask in English. Food is good at the restaurant. Overal a good hotel to stay.

The culinary offerings were outstanding, the accommodations were fantastic, the atmosphere was delightful, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was exceptional. You must visit this place if you like lot of greenery and tranquility.

Our family's recent stay at Kassapa Lions Rock in Sigiriya was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the experience was exceptional. This charming boutique hotel perfectly complements the awe-inspiring surroundings of Sigiriya, and I couldn't have asked for a more delightful place to stay. The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff members are warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive to the needs of their guests, special thanks to 2 restaurant waiters (one prepared a homemade medicine when my kid was not well) and a porter from the front desk who arranged a wildlife tour. It was a wonderful experience . The surrounding was peaceful and beautiful . There was a variety of animals including peacocks. The customer service was extraordinary . The rooms were neatly arranged and the bed linen was cleanly laid. There was a whole load of food including srilankan cuisines and international cuisines just so that everyone could enjoy . I loved the privacy given. I really enjoyed the trip. Please try to visit.

As i had visited this property way back in 2019, I was pleased to note that they have maintained the hotel, inpsite of the downturn in business during covid. I was pleased to see the Sigiriya Rock and the Pidurangala rock from the reception area The bird friendly resort is built on 13 acres with complete forest cover. I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of birds within the resort premises. The resort Kassapa Lions Rock hotel has been named at the UNESCO heritage site, Sigiriya rock fortress built by King Kassapa ! The food they served was tasty and for dinner the served a cucumber custard and Bael stone apple mousse, in the shell, locally known as Belli fruit. Bael stone apple fruit is a highly rated medicinal fruit for digestion, commonly found in the region. The chalet type rooms, and the attached toilets are pretty large, with walk in shower and bath tubs . I would definitely go back ! …
