Our driver advised this place (we booked a car at a travelagent) in negombo to take us to the east coast with a night over and a visit to the budah in the cave) he honoustly told us that, besides it is a nice and quiet place with a pool, they have a good drivers quarters and diner for him....

This remote property feels like more of a family run establishment rather than a hotel. The rooms are basic and electricity is not guaranteed but you'll enjoy chatting with other guests in the open-air restaurant. Offers a glimpse view of Lion Rock and monkeys on the roof (no alarm clock necessary). Not sure why they have a pool.

That was the hotel I least enjoyed during my 15-day holidays in Sri Lanka mainly because I couldn't feel that the love and care put in managing the hotel. The room was good size with a comfortable bed, the bathroom is old and needs some upgrading. The swimming pool wasn't the cleanest and the breakfast was ok, nothing sensational. It...

Good service , rooms ok with a.c. Bathrooms needed quite a bit attention. One can mingle with other guests in the dining hall. Food reasonable. Located in very remote place, but nice vies and climb on Sigiria Rock

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. From here we went to the Sigiriya rock. We booked this hotel with the Sri Lanka Tourist office at Colombo. Overall we found it a good hotel for a reasonable price. The room where clean the ac was working properly. We had even very nice hot water to shower. We have eaten...

We stayed there for 2 nights. The room itself is ok, but the bathroom could do some upgrade. Plus, there was a spider in a bathroom ceiling corner, but it was so high up that we couldn't get it. So everytime I was in the bathroom, I was freaking out that the spider would land on my head or something....

We stayed for three nights. The rooms were just tired and the bathroom tatie and not particularly clean. However, unlike reviews below, the pool was in good order and fine to take a dip in after the exertions of climbing the rock. We ate in once, but preferred to eat in the village - much better food available. It could...

Ok to start with something positive, the staff is nice and the internet speed was 60 mbit. The breakfast is reasonable. However, rooms are full with mosquitos and they can come in everywhere. Bed is as hard as the lion rock itself, so are the pillows. Mattresses are filthy. Room was really filthy, surroundings of the buildings was filthy. We...

Must have been ok at some stage but now quite ran down. Perhaps it is because it is off season but place seemed neglected with a few things broken in the room (lights, shower head, sink). Pool wasn't clean. Food was bad. It is also quite far from most restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful

I stayed here as this was booked through the 3night 4day trip I'd booked for the cultural triangle. The rooms are very basic and like other reviewers have commented the bathroom really could do with a deep clean. There were a family of frogs living under the toilet rim which wasn't ideal! Pool was clean when I stayed. Food food...
