A nice quiet hotel with excellent staff. The out door hot spring pools were fun, indoor baths with hot spring water. Hiking in the hills or by the river was great, at night or during the day. Look for the bug sheets at night, you will see some really interesting bugs. I will be back

Stayed here multiple times, and each was a positive experience. The gorge that leads you to the hotel is remarkable, and much less crowded that taroko; the scenery from the hotel is remarkable (best breakfast view in Taiwan I think); bridge over the river is breathtaking; rooms upscale and comfortable; clean; very friendly owners and staff; events on the weekend... The hotel was fully booked with a tour, and therefore rather noisy. Room: nice, comfortable beds with reading lights, TV, coffee/tea maker, free WLAN access, complimentary bottled water, large bathroom. After a long day of driving, we liked to soak and relax in the outdoor hot spring pools. The set dinner with Chinese fare was ok. Breakfast was Chinese fare... More

Good view, nice and very relaxing hot spring pools. Helpful and friendly staffs but a little bit overpriced compared to how old the hotel and rooms look and feel. Breakfast was horrible. Everything was distasteful. There was also no butter, only margarine, which made me even sicker.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights after travelling from Haulien by scooter. Be aware that the steep and winding journey through the mountain roads will take a LOT longer that you think. However it was worth it to arrive at this great gem of a hot springs hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and the shower nice and... More

Stayed two nights here. The food at the restaurant was pretty bad, you are much better off going to the small restaurant over the road as the food there is excellent. What really annoyed us was the response from the hotel reception when a group of travelers decided that the non-smoking rules didn't apply to them. They were sitting in... More

The view is amazing. Love the hot spring pool and the food. The hiking tour organized by the hotel in the morning was a nice touch. The staffs are friendly and helpful. My family all enjoyed our stay there. I highly recommend this hotel for those that want to relax in the wild mountains.

We drove to this hot spring hotel after we did our 12-mile bike ride in Kuan Shan. It was very relaxing to soak in the thermal pool and do the water spa. The outdoor pool is not very big, but effective enough to soothe our soared muscles. For the dinner, there are the pre-set combination dishes for 4 persons or... More

The views are spectacular, and I loved the hot water pool. The bedrooms are large and clean, but the public areas of the hotel are worn and tatty. Sound-proofing is poor so, when a large tour group arrived, there was quite a bit of noise and some smoking in the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, but they forgot... More

This hotel has excellent offerings for people interested in nature and local culture (Bunun tribe). The hotel is located in the Wulu gorge with spectacular views on the river and mountains. We liked crossing the suspension bridge behind the hotel which is the highest one in eastern Taiwan and watching the river and landscape. The naturally heated outdoor spa is... More
