Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed our 7 day stay in this property, everybody at front desk was helpful, the manager Mr. Elias was very professional and nice gentleman, he speaks good English and made sure we have everything we need. Also Miss Georgina, a very kind and cheerful lady always smiling and came to help when we needed something. The Studio is super clean, comes with everything you need to cook, two smart TVs and a nice little balcony. The roof top pool is very clean and very refreshing. There's also two big supermarkets nearby, a laundry room within one block, a Zumba class going on every day in the evening and is free, just ask Georgino, she'll tell you all about it. The elevator made it real easy to carry our luggage's up and down. The continental breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. Thank you everyone at Hotelito Del Mar. We definitely recommend this

We stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms were clean and upstairs has a great balcony with chairs and tables. Definitely get the upstairs rooms. The breakfast was pretty basic but did the job. The staff were more than helpful and accommodating. Close to every you need.

If you want the hostel experience for the price of a hotel, this is the place for you. Yes, our room was clean but the good news stops there. Everything felt cheap and low-budget, from cables hanging from the wall to oddly positioned art prints covering up "bad bits". The bathroom was so small you couldn't sit straight on the toilet, the towels were thin and mismatched, and there was no fan. Rooms face onto the street so if you don't want people looking in you have to keep the curtains drawn at all times. And talking of facing onto the street - be prepared for noise. A LOT OF NOISE. A badly positioned wall directly outside the room means that revellers congregating in town sit there to enjoy a beer or late night takeaway. They chat. And laugh. And sing. All night long. There were also building works outside our room from 8am-7pm during our stay. Oh joy. When we stumbled to breakfast bleary-eyed, one cup of coffee and one glass of artificial tasting juice was plonked down in front of us. There was a chair on the table we were sat at but I wasn’t allowed to move it. Huh? You also get scrambled eggs and some cheap bread. Our 8 year old doesn't eat eggs so we asked for some jam to go with the bread, but the response was "we only have butter". We also asked for coffee refills, only to be told "we don't usually do this". As an island, it's pretty obvious that people want to go swimming and surfing, yet there is nowhere in the room to hang anything. Not even a hook on the back of the bathroom door. We left with a lot of damp clothes and towels. No beach towels are provided so take your own. Heaven forbid you should make any more requests.

Our stay at the Hotelito Del Mar was wonderful and fun time. Daniel and Alex treated us like family and helped us with all of our travel and tour needs. Bocas is beautiful and a great place to visit with all there is to do. It reminded us of key west 20 years ago and the people there were so friendly. A walk from airport to hotel was great and we felt total save. My wife and I totally recommend this place to stay.

Came to visit the region at the recommendation of friends. Stayed at Hotelita Del Mar and couldn't have had a better experience. Alamo and his staff are very accommodating and will help organize your vacations and make you very much at home when there. Walking distance to everything you would need and if you desire you can go across the street and jump in a boat to explore other islands and eat at other restaurants. Recommend Bibis for a great meal. Wish there was a 6th star.

Spent a night here and it was very well located and clean. The town gets very loud at night so if you want a super quiet place to sleep this might not be for you. Would stay here again for a few nights if I was back in Bocas del Toro.

Clean basic accommodation in Bocas Town. Nothing fancy but very centrally located on the main road. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets and ferries all nearby. Perfect for a first night while planning a longer stay around Bocas del Toro.

This is a well located hotel in the middle of the city with walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and attentive. Our room had hot shower, AC, comfy beds, and wi-fi, all needed for a good stay. It also had a mini fridge for your personal stuff. Very good, specially fir the price.

This is a great little hotel. Our room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and the balcony was a great place to relax. Location is perfect and not noisy. The staff were so nice and helpful. They prepare your breakfast when you come to the patio. Fresh fruit and the coffee was so good.
