Arrived to find the room inside the oldest part of the hotel, the one you see in the photo, was not ready. I was put into a room in the adjacent old rectangular section. The room there was quite nice with older style furnishings. Later I was transferred to a room in the original building which was once a movie...

We enjoyed our stay at the Green Hotel. We had rooms in a block alongside the garden - they were very basic but had a working shower and toilet! It was nice to sit in the garden of an evening and the food was ok. Service was generally good I wold go back if I go to Mysore again.

This hotel is a complete con. You book a room thinking that you are booking into a nice old building. Instead most of the rooms are in a block in the garden. They use the excuse of 'Eco', to provide nothing. You get a bare room, with glorified camp beds and no curtains. It is also next to the highway,...

What a delightful place! The Green Hotel is a real gem. The main building is very attractive with marble, pillars, plants, comfy seating and air conditioning. My room was full of character, yet hidden away so I felt like a character out of an Enid Blyton novel. It was comfy, cool and with an ensuite that had plenty of hot...

I spent 4 nights at The Green Hotel last December ( 2016 ) and had a most enjoyable stay. The telephone booking was taken by somebody called Syed (spelling?) and he was very professional and polite. When I arrived at the hotel check-in was handled reasonably swiftly-although I seemed to be dealing with somebody from the caretaking staff initially.Eventually I was shown...

A delightful stay in this pretty and helpful hotel. The rooms were cool, the beds comfortable and the shower efficient with plenty of hot water. The food was delicious and the service superb. The garden is large and pretty, with the space to escape from fellow guests or to sit comfortably with them when you are looking for company. It...

There are many perfectly satisfactory air conditioned hotels in Mysore, but no where else has the charm of the Green Hotel. The building and grounds are beautiful, and distinctively south Indian. The cafe is shady and peaceful, an oasis of quiet in the noise and the heat of the city. They service wonderful home made cake and will produce pots...

Our stay at this hotel was organised by our tour company. On arrival the welcome was very warm. We were shown to the Small Bollywood room and small was the correct word. It was about 3 square metres. There was no place to put our cases except the floor and no place to put our clothes - four bamboo coat...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and the facilities very clean. The rooms do get a little noise from the passing traffic but we soon got used to it (it is India after all) The garden area was lovely. Breakfast was a simple buffet with basic western and Indian food...

So relaxing, heaps of character, really unique. Stunning gardens and a great restaurant. The rooms are cool and comfortable. The staff are so warm and friendly and Ahmed at the travel desk is particularly helpful and knowledgeable. Plus the hotel has lots of little corners for you to discover including a reading room and a cake shop with brilliant freshly...
