My friend and I spent two nights at the Regent Hotel and loved it here. The location is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful in every way. As two women travelling this was especially good for us.
The hotel is clean and very comfortable....More
Unfriendly reception staff ( unless you're male or Arab )
Breakfast served in corridor on first floor very average.
Erratic wifi - took several visits to reception before we could get connected.
Hotel location is excellent , safe and in an area where you can find Taj,gateway of India, museum and many other famous places , however this hotel needs a good renovation and cleaning. For under $100 I would not complain much

It’s the tourist central of the city with a liberal dose of rich history, iconic eating and drinking joints and artistic connections that have found prominent mentions in Gregory David Roberts’ Shantaram. Stroll down Colaba Causeway for kitschy street shopping bargains. Take a break at the many
laid-back legendary bars & restaurants like Cafe Mondegar or Leopold Café. The vibrant vibe of Colaba is incomplete without the buzz at Mumbai’s most iconic tourist hub, Gateway of India & The Taj Mahal Hotel on the parallel lane. Sprinkled with designer boutiques, quaint cafes with rooftop sea view, the promenade is a popular route to go to Elephanta Caves & Alibaug.
