Travellers' Choice 2019 Winner
On the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Adyar river, The Leela Palace is Chennai’s first and only seafront city hotel, designed by John Gerondelis from Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates Inc. While the public areas, guestrooms and suites, Library Blu, Jamavar and Spectra have been designed by Jeffrey A. Wilkes, the principal designer of DESIGNWILKES, the art and embellishment has been done by Mrs. Madhu Nair, Director Operations and Design of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. Drawn from the inspiration of Chettinad Dynasty, the architecture of the Palace Hotel exudes the regal and opulent style. Set on 4.8 acres of land, the 11-storeyed hotel features 326 rooms and suites. Equipped with world-class amenities, the meeting and conference centres are luxuriously and lavishly spread. Its close proximity to the central business district and local attractions and having a spectacular sea view on offer is sure to make the experience of our guests a very memorable one.

I have given 4 star based on the hotel accomodation, facilities, staff and welcome. Indian cuisine dinner was a big let down. Served Luke warm which killed appetite. Breakfast was good though with hot and cold options. Will I stay again - probably yes but might not try food

After a tiring trip, upon arrival at Leela, my family and I were greeted with garlands and wonderful hospitality. It certainly is a palace and visual spectacle to behold. The staff were extremely hospitable and the amenities are superb. A special mention for front desk/concierge

Hello ! The hotel as far as I know does not have a complimentary transfer because most hotels outsource this service . Rates can include breakfast depending on the kind of rate you have opted for because they have both inclusive and non inclusive rates I don't think there is a women's floor but it is a very safe and friendly hotel . You can contact the front desk by email for any specific queries Enjoy your trip
