Located just above kaventers with a panoramic view of Mount kanchanjangha. Rooms are big with king size bed. Wooden floors squeaky. Room service takes some time, so one needs to be satisfied with just hot tea/coffee.

We called in the morning and got a room for the night . Arrived late in the evening , very tired . Had a great night's sleep . Extended our stay for 2 more nights . The rooms are the only things functional there . Restaurant has closed down . Bar is not stocking up . The place will be... More

If you want to feel the British Colonial culture with 19th century decor, can choose the place, the rooms are huge with all modern amenities but they dont have room service. The best part during your stay you can avail their club. Its very near to Mall.

I visited the Planters club last week with family and friends. I had earlier stayed at this place around 25 years ago. Sadly it felt that the rooms had not been renovated since then. Such a beautiful property lying completely wasted. Being located in a prime location, this place could do wonders. Shabby rooms, dilapidated bathrooms, uncomfortable beds, run down... More

We stayed 2 nights on this property in 2013. Darjeeling Planters Club is conviniently located bang opposite to famous Keventer's resturant. The mall would be only 5 mins gentle walk from this hotel. But then why it is Average property ? Well, to understand this we need to keep aside those British era, Old world,Raj Style, Colonial type etc. etc. keywords and... More

Let me start of by saying that I would have given this place a poor rating if it wasn't for the great location and the view. This colonial era hotel sits on a hill, and is right opposite the famous cafe Keventers. The club has an outdoor seating area from where you can see the mountains and valleys. The rooms... More

Enjoy the taste of the British age rooms - which are well maintained .. along with excellent bahaviour by the staff ( I remember the pony tailed guy - Karma who always had a smile on his face). The rooms are spacious - have a skylite and the funrniture and the ambience takes you back to the British age... The... More

Stayed with a group of family friends. Nice place with lot of historical values. Mallory started his mount Everest expedition from here. Good food. One of the rare hotel where fireplace is still available.

This is a lousy piece of hotel which is grossly over publicised. Unfriendly staff, unclean rooms, high-priced facilities. I did not at all get why residents need to pay separately for the coal bucket to light the fireplace of a 4000K room! Highhandedness everywhere. The heritage is all they have got. No attempt of maintenance or upgradation. In fact the... More

“Suits on the first floor, on the left after you climb up the staircase have a fabulous view of the town market and the valley beyond. On a clear day one can see the Mighty Himalayan Range and The Glorious Peaks of Mount Kanjendzonga. Apt for Himalayan lovers and travelers, not sure whether it is good choice for 'tourists'”
