We found the hotels in Kolkata to be expensive and slightly misleading- look great at the reception desks but the rooms don't match!!! This place was straightforward. Don't expect much but it's a good price, brilliant location and clean enough. We had a good shower and the manager was friendly. Good for budget traveller.

We booked a taxi through the hotel, he was late and the car was very very low standard, for the taxi from airport to the hotel we payed 870 rupees, if we would use preepaid taxi...

We stayed a night in the "Fan Room" and 4 nights in "AC room". The AC room has a very nice balcony just beside the street. But also, we are quite disturbed by the street noise, even at the night.Other than that, nothing trouble us. And it is quite worth the rate.(Rs.600 for fan room and Rs.900 for AC room)...

Hotel Aafreen was safe to stay. I and my sister’s family went to visit Kolkata. Hotel was quite neat and clean. Also the service and security of this hotel was good as well. The Room was quite comfortable and wide. So the visitors can stay there easily. Furthermore, the location of the hotel was great. Hence we could easily manage...

It was our second day in the Sudder St. area and we still hadn't found a good place to stay. We had probably checked out 20 hotels on our price range of up-to US$20/night and the one we stayed in for the first night did not cut it at all. Lack of water, electricity and windows does lower the standards!...
