This place was perfect for our stay in Shanghai. The hotel was accessible to a few different train lines and a super easy walk to plenty more (Nanjing Road, Yu Garden, Old Quarter). The room itself had everything we needed and was clean and modern. It was helpful to have the cafe on the first floor to rest or grab...

Stayed for 3 nights. As the other reviewer advised don't trust the location on Google or Trip advisor map. The First thing that's good about the hotel is its accessible location (about 15 mins walk to People square and The bund) also the Metro station is close about 10 mins walk. Second, the rooms are modern but small. During our...

Dear customer, We are very sorry about what have happened during your stay with Campanile Shanghai. Our AC is controlled by the central system, it would rather be cold or heat. During the winter, we switch it into heating mode, if you think the temperature is too high, you can turn off the AC and leave the window open for...

The location as shown on tripadvisor's map as well as Google maps is wrong! You will end up on an alley street very confused! Type the address in a search rather than the hotel name and you'll be good (No.33 Fujian South Road). It is located south of the elevated highway, on the east side of Yanfu Greenland park. We...

This is a good quality hotel near the Bund. Even though rooms are small, they are clean and have what you would expect from a modern hotel. Only one English TV channel. Prices are ok. Staff speaks some English and are helpful. Buffet breakfast is not included in the room price. Would come back again

Just booked this hotel for sleep, while the location was a plus. Nothing fancy here, but very clean and new. Beds are excellent and well above this price point. Staff was fine, but a little bit of a challenge communicating sometimes. This level of comfort and cleanliness can't be beaten at this price.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
