The hotel is ideal for a stay in the financial district and about a 10 min walk to the famous Oriental tower and all the high rise buildings. You get a great view over the river to the Bund. The rooms as you would expect are fine and clean and the free wifi in room works. The bus tours operate...

Highly recommended hotel, their service is superb especially the concierge department, budget wise for a five star hotel in bund area, the breakfast is good, not the best but meet five star standard. Good choice for a five star hotel in bund area.

We stayed at the Kempinski for New Year's Eve and joined the celebrations in their 30th floor bar. Staff waived the rules to feed one of our group a snack (food service wasn't due for a couple of hours) and were very attentive throughout. The only gripe I have was that the music was a little too low key until...

When we arrived, the pool was closed due to renovation, and won't be opening again until 25th Jan. No information prior to our arrival. No communication was announced on your...

We enjoyed our stay during Christmas! Excellent Service, very good breakfast, excellent location with top view and sometimes even good weather could be experienced! Unfortunately, the Swimming pool and the Sauna were closed at the same time for maintenance!

Excellent hotel. Value for money. I recommend not to take room next to the elevator shaft. The elevators are noisy making a whooshing sound when passing. I changed rooms and got free internet for my 6 night stay for the inconvenience caused.

Great hotel room view, wonderful fitness and spa facilities and very welcoming experience straight after you alighted from taxi! Everyone at concierge makes an effort to remember your name especially the Lady in Red! It is inconvenient for a foreigner to navigate around without any local app, but the staffs here really aim to close those gaps for you.

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
Lujiazui
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
