I've stayed in this hostel twice for couple of days each a few weeks apart. First time: front desk was a boy very rude and not helpful. Dorm room was nice and roomy good design. Second time: front desk person was changed, nice helpful girl. But the dorm is tiny this time not so comfy. General: close to subway. Nice...

I stayed at the Shanghai SOHO for a couple of nights and I really enjoyed the place. I had a spacious double room with ensuite. The hostel is a stroll away from people park and many restaurants. Recommended

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but felt inclined due to our experience here. The location is sweet, it's close to a metro and in what felt like a safe area. Unfortunately our room was gross smelt like mould which you could actually see growing throughout the walls in our room. Bathroom was tiny but that may be OK...

Stayed two nights. Easy enough to locate. Not too far a walk from the People's Park and other landmarks. Lovely girl at front desk spoke some decent English. It was a quiet hostel so far as foreigners are concerned, predominantly a Chinese establishment. Buffet breakfast wasn't too bad. Coffee was nice. The decor in the bar was rather nice as...

We didn't have reservation for hostel in Shanghai. First we went somewhere else but they were full - at least they were nice enough to call in this hostel to check for free rooms. We were told that here they have available beds in dormitory room. We had location of this hostel marked on our map. It's a little bit...

This hostel is an excellent choice for travellers on a budget and provides nice and decent accommodation dorm style.. We stayed in an 8 bed room with ensuite bathroom, and honestly, I would have preferred common bathrooms for the hostel instead of ensuite.. The beds were hard but I think that is normal in China.. The hostel itself and the...

Nothing great about dorm rooms. No windows and central AC and it can get pretty hot sometimes. The attached bathroom was a relief. The faucet needed repairing though. The staff were ok. The bar is expensive but you can play pool all day there.

Also goes by the name of Rock & Wood hostel. Good food, great rooms, amazing staff. Great hub to meet young travelers from all over, as well as private rooms for those seeking some peace and quiet. Mixed dorms were dirt cheap and well maintained, all your amenities, lobby was warm and welcoming. All in all a great homebase for...

We did not enjoy our 2 night stay in this hostel at all, perhaps we had high expectations. We slept in a double room with bathroom and the room was not great at all. It was nothing special, and it had a humid smell to it which was unfortunate. The staff did speak English which was very helpful.
