We had a super lovely stay at the hotel- from the hotel's very impressive grand entrance to the hotel staff attentive and friendliness- always with useful holiday information and in very good English. We were celebrating our engagement and my fiance's birthday and the hotel upgraded us to an executive suite with a brilliant view of the city. Rooms are...

Stayed at the hotel for business + leisure and upgraded ourselves to the executive room since Marriott offers direct access to its executive lounge. Pretty impressed with the hotel's decor and room as everything looks pretty new and clean. Our corner room at the 33rd floor was huge. Check in was quick and staff were very courteous especially on the...

I was in this hotel in September 2016. This is a wonderful hotel. I was pleased with the courteous and responsible personnel. And clean and comfortable rooms. I had a beautiful view from the window. This is especially nice in the evening. Nearly is a pedestrian street and the river quay. Outside the hotel there is a metro station. This...

Had three nights here and it was absolutely fantastic. The views over the city are amazing. Its centrally located and a twenty minute walk to the Bund. Service is fantastic and a true five star hotel. It is expensive however everything is in Shanghai.

Fabulous location. Near lots of shopping and eateries. Great Wi-Fi, excellent breakfast. No complaints whatsoever. It is in the city center. So there is quite a bit of hustle & bustle during the day. But at night it quiets down nicely. Just watch out for the people on the electric scooters. I notice that most scooter drivers wear dark clothing,...

This 5* hotel is superb - service and facilities were topnotch. We stayed in a corner suite on a very high Executive floor, one floor below the exec. Lounge. There is an interior stairway connecting the two floors so we never had to wait for elevators to access the lounge. Super service in the lounge. After one visit, the staff...

Dear Milly D, Thank you for staying at our hotel and for recognizing our buffet selection in City Bistro. A prime and recent property with fantastic rooms and bathrooms. Just of few minutes to Nanjing road and People's park. Hotel limos to and from airport are a bit too pricey 800 + and almost 3x the cost of a cab, so avoid unless you need luxury transport.

Dear Renaudir, Thank you for your review and for selecting our hotel on your recent visit to Shanghai. Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
