The hotel is clearly build for functions and convention or for families wanted to spend weekend in a resort, especially to visit the nearby Happy Valley Themepark and the next door Playa Maya waterpark as well as the She Shan golf club. The hotel is some distance away from the Shanghai CBD and not so convenient for business, except for...

I had to stay at the hotel for a business trip but otherwise would have moved immediately. Upon arrival on 26 October (at 11pm) the receptionist promised my room would have a double bed and promised my colleagues room would not be a corner unit. My colleague, who speaks fluent mandarin made this request to the receptionist (because she was...

Having visited China many times now on business over 15 years, the five star hotel experience has changed and improved dramatically. I stayed in this hotel when it first opened as one of the initial guests. At the time it was fresh and new. Unfortunately now it has become a bit dated, however, was overall quite agreeable for the required...

Le Meridian is a luxury brand and for an expensive hotel brand this hotel was a bit disappointing. Though the room and the hotel itself was clean and spacious, it didn't offer top-notch service and some of the amenities were low quality. It claims to be a resort but doesn't offer the best services that a resort should. It's very...

First, I did not stay in any hotels under SPG brand, this is my first time stayed in SPG property. BUT, you sucks and be the worst. As this is a children-friendly hotel, when we arrived 2 p.m. there are many people waiting for check-in, and we were told the room preparation time would be at least 3 p.m. A...

It actually may have been a great hotel a few years back, looks like a resort, but for a business stay it was not good. The room was HOT, AC never cooled the room adequately, the room was dark, internet slow, and tv selection for English options on the light side. Never ate breakfast in the hotel and if it...

We stayed for the weekend and we were with high expectation because of the very high price of the rooms, however, it was very disappointing, the rooms are really standard, courtines are not total black out and the installations in general are quite old and not well maintained. The food is horrible, buffet and a la cart and also very...

It is suitable for family to stay. A little bit noisy....... KIDS KIDS KIDS. Buffet has limited choices. Service is OK. One thing makes me disappointing is long long walkway, because my room was located at the end of walkway. When I went to the gym, It took me long time to through from this side to the other side.

Although the weather were against us there were still a handful of indoor activities. Sadly only two choices of restaurants at the resort and the breakfast had limited choices for Westerners. The rooms were decent. Room service fair. Guess it is convenient located for trips to the near "mountain" and theme parks.

Some of the worst service from popular hotel chain that I have experienced while traveling in China. For a SPG hotel located in Shanghai, the english level of the staff is unacceptable. When we checked in, the only words spoken to us by Erich at the front desk were "credit card?" & "elevator..." Then being pointed to the direction of...
