Great small place, with a lot of wild animals and birds in your surroundings. Nice and helpfull staff. Great view from our family room, and from the pool/jacuzi. the animal life here and nature is absolutely stunning. you can drive 10 minutes and get to the nicest natural spring, and enjoy the hot water for free. We also went zip...

We stayed at the Arenal Lodge in August. The lodge itself has a true Costa Rican feel. The rooms are covered with wood…They look out on the volcano across an expanse of green. While the resort itself might not be a five-star resort if you compare it to places like the Four Seasons, the owner, the welcoming desk, and Jessina...

We stayed at the Arenal Lodge the last week of November and had a great time. Yes, it is away from other places, however we had rented a car knowing this and had no problems seeing the area. The lodge is older, but very nice. We stayed in a chalet and the view was amazing. The room could use some...

We drove through pouring rain, mudslides, downed trees and the coolest road I've ever driven on. The drive from the road to the lodge is exciting. The power was out when we arrived and remained out through the night, we made the best of it with candles and flashlights. The lodge did a good job providing wood for the fireplaces...

Staff is wonderful and the views, when you have them given the heavy fog in the morning and early evening, are amazing. The rooms are fine, nothing special, and the restaurant is good with a good selection of food for all eaters. There is a lot to do at the hotel - hot tub, bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, pineapple...

We spent two nights in La Fortuna before coming to Arenal Lodge. Yes, it's a windy bumpy road up to the lodge! But the view at the top is amazing. It was a sunny day when we checked in and our chalet was available early. We had lunch then took a horseback ride. Amazing!!!! Our guide (Ronan?) and his son...

What a great little lodge to relax at with some pretty nice hiking trails and views. Staff are very friendly and so helpful. The drive from the main road to the lodge is very adventurous and all UP hill!

Thanks you for comment. We hope to see you again. The best thing about the road up to the hotel is that in more than 20 years we never had any incident or accident. So people can come and enjoy the forest and wildlife as soon as they pass the gate.

I had a hard time choosing between average and very good, but went with very good based on how much the family enjoyed it. We had a group of 9 who stayed in 3 junior suites, with two standard beds and a fold-out sofa. The hotel is older, so the décor is dated and worn. The rooms were clean. The...

We spent three nights there in December and will not return. Several reasons: - We had reserved a chalet but were told upon arrival that we had been "upgraded" to the honeymoon suite. The so called suite was an old room which had not been updated in many years, had air drifts, almost no view, and even the bed covers...
