Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hotel is close to the Fortuna waterfall with a gorgeous view of Arenal volcano. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, with a mini fridge and full balcony. The pool is great and there are also several different temperature secluded hot tubs as well. The restaurant was fabulous - every entree we had was great and breakfast was generous and delicious too. The staff was kind, attentive, and committed to excellent service. We purchased the romantic package which included a couples massage and dinner voucher - it all was amazing! Every detail from our arrival to departure was PERFECT A phenomenal value and an absolutely magical experience.

This is my second time staying at Casa Luna and it didn't dissapoint. The grounds are absolutely stunning. So many birds and tropical lanscaping. The pool is clean and refreshing. We also got spa treatments that were absolutely incredible. Highly recommend that while you are there. The food was very good at their restaurant and the La Fortuna waterfall is very close by. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful for everything we needed.

Great location with beautiful pathways to room and pools. The best meal we had in Costa Rica was at this hotel where we also enjoyed a fabulous open air massage. I would have given this hotel 5 stars but there was no bedside reading lamp in our room..only the overhead light. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent restaurant, walking path, pool, hot tubs and spa. Our deep tissue massage was the best we have experienced! The front desk staff were exceptional- guiding our tour choices, welcoming and gracious!

Casa Luna was wonderful and I would definitely recommend it as a hotel for other travelers to La Fortuna. The hotel grounds and gardens were wonderful to walk around and see all the beautiful Costa Rican flora. The food was very good with great prices for both food and drink. The staff was polite and helpful if we needed anything. They have semi-private hot spring pools which were very nice and relaxing. Our room had a great view of the Arenal volcano (though we couldn't see the top because of the clouds)...side note: there aren't screens on the windows. We did walk into part of Fortuna, just need to be careful as it is a two lane road with no sidewalk (we walked facing traffic) and there were locals walking along the road as well. No issues walking around there. Casa Luna is

We stayed at Casa Luna for 1 week in Jan and loved the location and the layout of the resort. Its quiet and with lush surroundings, Id recommend a room with a balcony overlooking the Arenal volcano which is quite magical. The location was perfect as there are a number of walkable points of interest and even a small grocery store less than a mile away. Accommodations are modest but very clean and just fine. I would recommend a few tweaks regarding room layout to make navigating around suitcases a bit easier, maybe a few more shelves, but these are small things. We would stay here again as the staff was great, kind and accommodating. The spa services were also lovely and we loved our 90 minute massage and facials. We were very happy here at Casa Luna and the front desk guys were

Great hotel. We had a huge room with a balcony onto the gardens and a massive bathroom too, all spotlessly clean. I had a massage which was absolutely fantastic and the pool and hot springs were great for relaxing after a long day. The only downside was the food - stay at the hotel but go out for dinner!

My husband and I had a great stay at Casa Luna. Enjoyed an upper floor room with 2 queen beds in our room. Nice size deck to watch the birds and butterflies. The breakfast was a sit-down breakfast with 4 choices. We enjoyed been served instead of sharing a buffet breakfast with all the guest. The pool was nice to relax by after a long day. We had a car, so it was easy to pop into town. The town is about 10 minute drive. Also, a restaurant down the road (about 2 km walk) and grocery store if you need water and beer. We did book the river rafting tour at the hotel and had a great time. Staff was helpful and our housecleaning staff was lovely.

Lovely room, maid service brilliant, great views and lots of bird life. On the downside breakfast is not good and even worse if vegetarian. We are one meat eater and one vegetarian. So bad we didn’t bother at all on the last day. Bar not in the slightest inviting, disappointed overall

We spent 3 days at the hotel. This place is a mixed bag- Pros - Great location. Beautifully landscaped to attract birds, frogs, etc and maintain privacy throughout. Good restaurant with friendly staff. Breakfast is not as good as the regular menu. If you are drinking red wine, ask for a bottle that is not chilled. Hot tubs nicely landscaped. Helpful and friendly staff. Towel art in the bedroom a lot of fun. Cons - Rooms comfortable but sparsely furnished. No chairs (brought the ones from outside in) or bedside lamps (requested on and it was delivered). Not well insulated - can hear anyone outside or in the room above. Hot tubs are only luke warm. Hotel advertises itself as an ecolodge however most fabrics are synthetic material not natural. We were glad to have
