We just spent 2 nights at this delightful, small, family-run hotel. The owners have taken great care in the Spanish colonial design of the building and in the decor of the rooms, garden and reception/dining area. The rooms are spacious and attractively decorated with many unique details. In addition, both mornings of our stay we enjoyed the delicious, "rustico" breakfast...

We stayed in the Casita, which is exactly as described on their website. Lots of room for us and our two teenage boys. It was great to have access to a washing machine and dryer right in our suite of rooms. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our car was secured behind a locked gate. Orosi is in...

We spent one night in Orosi Lodge. The town itself is quite nice in the middle of the Orosi Valley. Orosi Lodge is a colonia house with a coffee shop/reception . Rooms are spacious with minibar, coffee set up and nice bathroom. Very clean and comfortable! Breakfast is outstanding, on the small terrace overlooking the valley. We had "rustico" which...

We spent our penultimate night in Costa Rica in this lovely little hotel in the Orosi Valley. The service here is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious, well equipped and have a lovely balcony outside that looks out over the town of Orosi, with views to the volcanoes beyond. The lodge is right next door to the...

This was one of my favorite spots. The German couple who own it are welcoming and gracious and the staff is top notch. Our room was perfect, a welcome haven after some of the other spots in Costa Rica. Be sure to have breakfast there. It was one of the best meals I've had. I can't recommend this place enough....

Only stayed for one night on a tour with Bike Arenal. We greatly enjoyed the accommodations and the German staff. Breakfast was a standout both for the view and the delicious egg skillets. Also don't miss evening sweets.

A small hotel, managed by its owners. Has a good location (it's beside the Thermal pools and 3 blocks away from the ancient colonia church), great service, excellent food and a great gift shop (they sell there many of the delicious coffee, chocolates and jellys you will be served during breakfast). Avoid the suite, as it's beside the street and...

We made this quick one night stop on the way to the Caribbean side. It was a great little town and perfect for a few day stop. The owners are very nice and really care about their guests. We plan to come back for a two to three night stop next time.

I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. This hotel is excellent and the owners were very kind to a solo traveller; inviting me for dinner, providing a map and explained key locations, helped to organise tours and made a delicious breakfast! The balcony is a wonderful place to watch the valley change with the weather...

Great family cabin. Very useful washer AND dryer (so nice for a long - travelling family to wash clothes and dry them). The whole hotel is full of attention to detail. Much thought, experience and probably passion and love has is put into making a stay here quite a refined experience. Obviously the owners love the country. Do at least...
