My family wanted to stay in the area for a few days to go rafting and canyoning. We decided to stay at this Hostel and it was a great choice. The staff were helpful and made us feel comfortable. It was nice spending time on the second floor balcony getting to know some of the other travellers. We stayed in... More

Vwry caring staff here will accommodate most anything you could ask. They were very helpful setting up our river trip, and the upstairs balcony was gorgeous with generous seating (in September) and excellent even in the rain. The rooms are simple, but did the job for the night. Nice kitchen too.

It was a great place to stay over night and comfortable. The upstairs deck was really nice to go out and smoke and listen to the rain. The front desk people were also very helpful and let us leave our luggage there while we rafted! Great hostel in the cutest little town.

This hostel offers you everything you need. A nice large kitchen, comfortable beds with a fan that makes you forget the heat. The bar and the yard are a nice surplus if you just want some time to chill and hang out at the hostel. The service from the people at the reception is also very helpful and friendly.

Turrialba is a great place to visit, and this hostel (and hotel too) is the best place to stay at. Everything is very clean, the shower is hot, and there is not only a private little patio with garden out back, but a second story terrace with awesome views! I won't forget sitting there in the mornings and watching the... More

My girlfriend and I booked here in order to stay a couple of nights and visit the volcano Irazu. We wanted to move quickly on to Puerto Viejo however upon arrival we found this hostel to be the most friendly, well kept and relaxing place we have stayed in our two months travelling. Needless to say we extended our stay... More

Lovely hostel in Turrialba, Casa de Lis is in the very center. It has a cozy environment, a lovely roof terrace and a small garden with hammocks. Absolute gem of a hostel. Pricilar was very helpful and accomadating. Casa de Lis is spotlessly clean and the clear written instructions around the hostel make it a pleasure to stay in. It is easy walking distance to everything in town . Very well equipped kitchen, great deck and garden areas to relax in. Comfy rooms equiped with everything you... More

The Casa de Lis was our first accomodation in Costa Rica and it proved a very welcome and inviting introduction to the country. The genuine hospitality she offered seemed to be the true embodiment of the Costa Rican spirit. We stayed for two days and the accommodation was great. We loved the little court yard and the rooftop patio. Our... More
