We stayed here twice. Once in 2008 and again in 2015. The rooms have been updated and there is a terrific communal kitchen area, jacuzzi tub, and massage room now. The pool is lovely and very clean. I'm especially impressed by the beds, which are...More
My family and I stayed at the Tico Adventure Lodge for one week. I'm a 13 year old boy and I thought that this hotel was very nice. They had a small pool, power lines and ropes that Howler Monkeys walk on, friendly staff, lizards,...More
We didn't book through online company as we learned that most hotels we have stayed prefer payment by cash in US dollars or Colones (local currency) and you might get a discounted rate. We found Tico Adventure Lodge from Lonely Planet guidebook and we were...More
Beautiful pool, open kitchen, wood work, lizards, clean, $52 for a private room, three beds one a bunkbed, fridge outside your door. 5 min walk to beach. I took an inflatable paddle board. Caught fresh fish made ceviche. 2 min walk to grocery store, pineapples,...More

We stayed ther at the beginning of December and stayed in the studio apartment suite just off of the office. I can't say that the traffic noise was even an issue. I never noticed the sound. The walls are fairly thin and there was a live band that played on the next street that we heard one night but the town has a 9pm noise ban, so things quieted down then. One morning, the howler monkeys were pretty loud, but you can't control the jungle 😉 It's a lovely place to stay, though. We loved it.
