A bit outside the town site, it provided a great location. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Beach was great, and the free sunset cocktails were a nice touch. Food was great, but only breakfast buffet included. Free bike usage allowed us to bike in and out of town with ease. Even in the face of a hurricane coming in,...

We chose to stay here for 7 nights at the end of our tour of Costa Rica and it was a great decision. The hotel is located out of T amarindo on Playa Langosta , which is not a great beach for swimming but has lovely sunsets. The staff were very welcoming and our room 316 was very peaceful, clean...

Everything at Cala Luna met or exceeded our expectations. All staff members were friendly and did everything possible to make our experience fantastic. The food and drinks were exceptional and the sunset cocktail each night gave us the opportunity to meet a lot of other guests while watching the beautiful sunset. I'd definitely come back here to relax with friends...

Okay, this is an expensive place, but it is very, very nice. We booked a couple of nights at the end of our vacation through Costa Rica and it was absolutely wonderful. We had one of the villas with a personal pool and the was pure luxury. The beach, albeit rocky, provided the best sunsets you can imagine. The service...

I stayed at Cala Luna for 5 days and had such an amazing time! From the moment I was picked up from the airport with their shuttle service to the day I left, I felt in paradise. I was greeted by name with a cocktail and a moist towel to clean and cool off. For a free breakfast, you can...

I'll start by saying this place in amazing. You will not be disappointed! The villas are scattered all over - some along the roads, some down paths near the beach - all are surrounded by jungle and very private. Ours had it's own pool which the kids loved, but complained of it being too cold. They preferred the main pool...

The location was great, on the beautiful playa langosta and only a 20 minute walk to the centre of Tamarindo. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of opportunities for spotting howler monkeys, hummingbirds and racoons by the pool side. Food and drink was good, although a little pricey.

To say we weren't concerned as we made our way from Tamarindo proper outbound to the hotel would be a lie, but as soon as we pulled into Cala Luna's entrance, all of that was forgotten. The property was beautiful and very well kept. The staff was super-friendly and accommodating! The food and drinks were fresh and delicious (the breakfast...

We really liked Cala Luna: very friendly and helpful service and our two-bedroom villa with private pool and kitchen was very spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The daily towel animal sculptures were a major hit with the kids. The big shared pool is lovely. We appreciated the included breakfast buffet and ease of getting coffee right away in the morning, as...

My husband and I just spend 4 lovely nights at Cala Luna. This was our first time in Tamarindo and we came here after staying at an amazing, secluded resort near Bagaces. Needless to say, the bar was set very high but I do think Cala Luna was definitely the best choice for us in Tamarindo. We're 40 somethings, active,...
