We ran to this hostel from one down the street and were so happy with the outcome. We showed up unannounced and they gave us our own room which was private! Due to our unannounced arrival we did end up in a pretty crappy room. The A/C was broken (it cooled the room, but was so noisy we had to...

This hostel was one of 10+ throughout my stay in Costa Rica. It was $12/night and included a dorm room with AC, a great typical Costa Rican breakfast of rice and beans and even cheese, a pool, and a kitchenette. The people working the front desks were fellow travelers who made me and my boyfriend feel like family and happily...

Disgusting! I just found we werent the only unhappy customers. We had the worst experience staying there. We really wasted our money, we cant say anything good about this place. The receptionists are volunteers and they were rude, making our staying really uncomfortable. They should change that or they are going to lose more potential customers. We dont remember her...

I slept at this hostel for three nights and wouldn't recommend it. The matrasses are the worst I've slept on. You could feel the springs. My pillow smelled like someone else's sweat. I was there for four days and the bathroom wasn't cleaned once during my stay. Breakfast is rice with black beans and scrambled eggs. Price was $11,30 p.p.p.n....

We called directly to the Hostel to make a reservation then, they told us to do it online (Hostels.com), so, we did it, we paid the deposit that was requested. Here we are the day before, we called to make sure we have our reservation and they said no, sorry we don't have anything on your name. Sorry!. We called...

Decent for the price. Does its job. It has AC, pool, hammocks, and breakfast. Great for groups of people that want to sit the prices. Every room also has its own small kitchen and refrigerator. Also good for families to stay in one room. It's also nice to just lounge around.

I've passed only one night there, i met so many beautiful people on that day in the hostel. It is really beautiful and the ambiance is really relaxing. Feels really safe and for the price, 11 usd, including a typical breakfast, it is very good. The dorms were containing 8 beds in two opened rooms. It was the cheapest price...

I stayed in the bunkhouse and in an apartment room at The Chocolate Hotel and I was thoroughly impressed with both. The front desk staff were marvelous. The accommodations were clean and I felt safe the entire time. Their breakfast and coffee were such an added bonus! I also really liked that The Chocolate Hotel wasn't right in the middle...
