We stayed for 3 nights. The location is great for wildlife (birds, frogs, Cayman etc) and the staff are very friendly. The food in the restaurant is very good. We had pizzas which were amazing. The rooms are very basic - poorly lit and no safe, but the benefits probably outweigh the drawbacks.

We had room 35, with 2 smaller, but good, double beds! Airco was good! Furniture is a bit old. Very nice shower. Small terrace with view on Kolibries (Hummingbirds). Because there were a lot of bugs in our room, they offered us an other room. When this did not work out, they offered us free drinks with the dinner. Very...

Hotel a family business. A/C and pool lovely. Rooms clean and adequate. Restaurant has a good bar, pizza and desserts. Open air and mornings are filled with birds coming to the fruit feeders. A birders delight. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic property. Follows eco principals, excellent accommodations, great staff, and birds everywhere. I take a class to Costa Rica during Winter break to look at ecotourism and we always spend a couple of nights here. The property is maintained as a semi-reserve and the hotel is certified as ecofriendly. Really great place to stay!

I stayed at the Ara Ambigua Lodge for two nights in August 2016 with my husband and two boys, ten and almost two years old. Our room was close to the upper pool. It was quite spacious, but the decoration and furniture were rather tacky and tasteless, there was hardly any space to put one’s clothes (only a small, open-front...

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel, Rooms were clean and tidy, two double beds in our room. AC and great shower. Slightly dark in room as we were surrounded by the gardens. Didn't really matter as we where not in the rooms that much. Restaurant good had a good choice on offer, cocktails were good too. Once it got dark...

The gardens are gorgeous! At night, we saw many red eyed tree frogs near the restaurant. The chorus of frogs singing at night is beautiful. We did have a few issues with the toilets in 3 rooms, but maintenance came to fix it right away. The rooms were clean and nice, and the A/C felt great! The pizza is a...

We landed in Sarapiqui without a reservation and found this place. The rooms are spacious and the best thing about them is the outdoor covered patio. We got in our room just before a torrential downpour and it was sweet to sit out there and watch the rain pound down on the jungle growth. The evening meal was superb. Had...

Nice lodge with a huge restaurant area where they serve great cocktails. The food is nice but a bit too fancy for the place. Downside is that there's no fan so it's very hot and a lot of mosquitos. The garden is big and beautiful and in the evening you can spot different types of frogs. The place is good...

I was visiting Costa Rica with a group of students. Beautiful facility, friendly staff, wonderful food, clean rooms, comfortable beds and AIR CONDITIONING! Highly recommend this place. The entire facility is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.
