I cannot begin to describe the great time my family and I had during our stay at Selva Bananito! Yes the road is rough getting to the lodge, but that is just a small part of the beginning of your adventure! If you are the type that wants to be pampered, you will be disappointed. However, if your are the...

Our three-day-stay began with a 90-minute lay-over in the middle of the rugged hour-long ride to the Selva Bananito Lodge. The truck, a wreck waiting to happen, broke an axle, and the driver was unable to persuade anybody at the lodge to come and rescue us for what felt like forever. The good news: We broke down in the shade....

We really had great time at the Lodge. The people there are real nature lovers and great hosts. They showed us loads of different plants and all kinds of animals! The horseback riding was a great experience and the absolute highlight was the overnight stay in the jungle, that we can highly recommend. The food was excellent and the lodges...

My husband and I stayed at Selva Bananito Lodge for 2 nights during our recent honeymoon and can not say enough good things!!! We were concerned about staying in such a primitive place but couldn't have been happier!! The lodge really made you disconnect from everything else and experience the jungle fully! Our host Harvey was incredible! He was polite,...

I wish we stayed for 3 nights instead of 2. I recommemd this lodge to anyone who enjoys the outdoors...

This is a five star (five leaf) lodge, and ecotourism at its best. We travelled with grandparents and children and both had a wonderful time. We were able to explore the jungle on foot and from the air and in-between, learn about the history of the area, and ride horses to a lovely swimming spot on the river. Our very...

Our trip to Selva Bananito was truly amazing. My husband and I traveled there wanting an immersive experience that offered a good birding experience, and that is exactly what we got and more. As the other reviewers have mentioned, it is an adventure to reach and driving our 4 wheel drive rental vehicle through the rain forest and through a...

Where to start...The lodge itself is not easy to reach. It's a 11km drive with 4x4, on complicated paths, and crossing several rivers. The drive can't be done at certain times of the year, so you'd need the staff to get you and cross the rivers with a zip-lines. But that is part of the experience, and it's really worth...

Selva Bananito is incredible. My wife and I stayed there for two nights on our honeymoon, and we had a blast. The owner is a great person with a strong passion for conservation and eco-tourism. We highly recommend Selva Bananito for anyone who is interested in exploring the rain forest in an authentic way. The food was excellent, the guides...

Best place we stayed in. Personally, best place I´ve ever stayed in. The people that work here are incredible as well as the owner. The experience is huge. Great work they have been doing towards a big sustainable development. Do not lose the chance to stay here. No wifi because it becomes totally unnecessary.
