Very nice clean hostel in the city centre of Puerto Viejo. Nice outdoor kitchen with new kitchen equipment. Also a purify water machine to fill up your waterbottle. Rooms are very clean and there is a nice calm atmosphere. I definitely recommend this hostel in Puerto Viejo. Planned 3 days, but eventually I stayed a whole week in this hostel.

We stayed at Pagalu for 3 nights and extended to a 4th because we enjoyed it so much. The rooms are spacious with lockers and comfy beds. The only negative would be the small fan at the bed isn't capable of dealing with the heat we experienced, but that's not a big deal! The common area has a spacious kitchen...

I am sure you have read the other reviews so there isn't much new to add. No reservations, walk-ins only. I used a private room which included a private bathroom, (not my typical hostel purchase). Hot water shower, liquid soap dispenser. ceiling fan in the room, and nice sized towels. All rooms have pad-locked locker. The "Mega Supermarket", is across...

This hostel is a little hard to get into since they don't take reservations, so have a back-up plan and then check back each day, late morning. The common area is fantastic and the kitchen is large. The dorm beds have their own fan and light and the bathrooms are clean. It was a wonderful place to settle down without...

We ended up extending our stay here as we loved it so much: one night in e six person dorm and then five in a private room with shared bathroom. The rooms are really nicely furnished and very clean, with fans, lots of space, secure boxes and good linen. The bathrooms are many, all clean and with hot water and...

This hostel is the best hostel I've ever been. It's almost like a hotel, very clean and tidy! It's absolutely worth your money! The hostel is situated 2 min from the busstop. Even though it's not that far from the clubs and bars, you can still get your rest at night. I can see why it's so popular :)

Clean, spacious, nice crew and a great atmosphere. This is the hostel you are looking for if you like clean beds and quiet nights. There's no party, for that go to other places. Keep this gem clean. It operates on a first come first serve basis, so you have to be lucky to get a room or bed. The location...

We stayed 3 nights at Pagalu in 4 beds dorm. It is clean, with good beds and a friendly environment. The owners are super welcoming and nice. Yo have kitchen if you wanna cook and a cozy common area to chill. The price is totally value for money! Puerto Viejo can be very expensive so Pagalu IS the option. Totally...

It is situated on a parallel street to the main one, so it is nice and quiet, but at the same time close to everywhere. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, each bed in dorms has own outputs and a night lamp, there is a large cupboard for each person. I haven't been to private rooms, but heard they are...
