At the end of Port Viejo sits this jungle setting. It's right across the road from the ocean as well. The room had all you need, including hot water! What we loved the most were the jungle noises at night. I swear we heard monkeys playing on our roof. There's also a very relaxing pool with a bar. That's where...

We stayed 9 nights at this hotel. It is probably one of the better hotels in the area. That being said, this place needs an upgrade! We stayed in an ocean view suite (2 bedrooms with one small bathroom). One bedroom had a king bed, while the second room had two double beds. If there were more people than just...

Bungalow was very private with a patio and hammock. Room with two beds was clean and beds were comfortable. Wi fi included. Some items went missing from my friends suitcase(coffee & cell phone charger). Management said they would look into it. Never heard anything back. Breakfast included was very good. Pool was picturesque and included a sloth living in a...

Tired hotel in need of some tlc. Large grounds, lots of greenery and some sloths and frogs. Room was clean but dated. No warm water in the shower in the morning. Breakfast is ok. Lots of rice and a different stew everyday. Has a egg station to cook to order. Resteraunt is good but pricier than others. Great little restaurant next...

I am a travel agent and booked this property for my husband and I for a very special anniversary celebration. We checked in, went to our room and promptly checked out. It was nothing like the pictures or description on the Internet. I forfeited a nights stay just to check out but we just couldn't stay there. Someone reviewed this...

We had a chalet which was nice and clean with a hammock on the porch. Great for a afternoon nap! Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Beach was fun to walk along. We also walked to town and enjoyed looking around. The food at dinner was very good! Saw a troop of monkeys in the trees right on the...

After dealing with the cranks at the front desk, a young man lead us to the world's ugliest hotel room, featuring a bed covered in a lime green bedspread, a couple of creaky bamboo chairs and a shower stall reminiscent of those at my gym. The beach, which is nasty, caters to surfers but it's too rough for swimming. Any...

we were a little apprehensive about this, our last hotel in Costa Rica having read some bad reviews. However, we have had a lovely stay here - our chalet was clean, comfortable and everything worked as it should. The staff were pleasant and helpful and even allowed us to keep our room well after the checkout time so that we...

My family checked into our hotel room around 9 pm. A young man walked us to our room and unlocked our door for us. We had many bags and struggled to carry them all, we were offered no help. We arrived in the dark and had no idea of our surrounds. They neglected to inform us that we were less...

We arrived in Puerto Viejo after a 5 hour drive from Manuel Antonio, to check into the Cariblue Beach Hotel. On arrival we went straight to reception to check in, I gave them our Booking.com reservation details, they couldn’t find the booking. After further investigation they informed us that they had not received a request for a booking from Booking.com....
