Staff and accommodations were excellent. Even gave us a doggy bag to take with us for bfast when we had an early check out. Doing a night tour was a great highlight of the trip as well. Along with making tamales on Christmas Eve

This stunning lodge is in an amazing location adjoining Piedras Blancas National Park. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of wildlife and paths to walk around. They even supply wellies and walking sticks if, like us, it rains a lot while you’re there!! I stayed for two

Yeah, I know, "don't go in October, the rainiest month!" Well, I did and with rain every day for 6 days I photographed more than 50 bird species, 12 of which were for the first time in CR with 10 lifers! Add this to the total immersion into the rainforest, the best "Tico Gourmet

Hello Anthony, you can look at the facilities and our menu on our website. A visit to Esquinas is a genuine nature experience. Don't expect high life, music or dancing. We find that observing the nature and the animals and listening to the sounds of the rainforest offer enough entertainment. As an ecolodge in the middle of the jungle, we offer day and night hikes, horseback tours and boat tours in the area. We have one bar that is open from 5.30 to 10.00, and an honour system fridge from which you can serve yourself.

There is power in the lodges, although these are very basic. Best to contact the manager regarding how to get there. Marilyn
