We booked the 7 night, 3 lodge package through Harvey. Saladero was the first lodge we stayed at and it was a fantastic start to our Costa Rican vacation. The property is beautiful, serene, and very relaxing. The food was excellent and very plentiful. Susan...More
The owners are quite nice and committed to the eco lodge tourism mentality. It is nice and rustic, it is not fancy. This is a place for those who really want to be in nature and truly experience an uncluttered eco experience in Costa Rica.

The journey to this remote paradise is not for the faint hearted but once there, Harvey and Susan's service culture and passion for the environment is second to none! We are still salivating over Susan's wonderful meals - and will never forget paddle boarding with...More

The rains start coming in May and so many of the tour companies start to shut down..its the beginning of low season... but its beautiful ..its called the green season! it is often sunny in the morning to afternoon and then some showers (some heavier then others!)
then it clears away and the sun shines again. Its not a cold rain, unless your in the Mountains, and then its quite a bit cooler
because of the rains the rivers are running off into the ocean, the visibility is much less snorkeling in may. hope this helps
