We recently returned from a 10-day trip to Costa Rica and are still wishing we were back at Mango Moon rather than here at home! We stayed at Mango Moon on our second to last night in Costa Rica and only wish we could have been there for longer. We started our trip with one night in San Jose, then...

There is no doubt that Mango Moon offers stunning views, a lush tropical setting, and a prime monkey viewing location. However, Mango Moon is NOT for everyone. My husband and I visited Mango Moon as part of our honeymoon in June 2006. Although this review is a bit late (and I'm sure the owners will use this fact to discredit...

Loved Mango Moon. Rooms are nice, clean, newer and have great views of ocean. Bar and breakfast area has stunning location overlooking forest and ocean. Very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the special touches of evening candles lit throughout, gorgeous tropical flower arrangements and peaceful music. Staff was also helpful with tour arrangements. Breakfast was hardy.

What a warm, wonderful welcome we received after an 18-hour journey. Smiles, suggestions and efficiency from Maggie at the front desk... a personalized welcome sign at our door... the personal attention every day by owners Joni and Jeff.... Alvaro always ready with ice or a drink...the delicious breakfasts, stunning views, charming monkeys and quiet, relaxing premises. It felt like our...

This place is great! We finished our honeymoon trip to Costa Rica at Mango Moon and loved everyday there. The hotel owners make you feel like famliy and pay great attention to details. The breakfast was the best of any place we had stayed, it is served on the patio over looking an amzing view and you are almost certain...

We stayed 5 nights in mid June with another family and found the hotel wonderful. It is conveniently located - a short walk to the bus or restaurants, and a nice downhill walk to the public beach. (There was construction nearby but no one can stop development.) The rooms were very comfortable, nicely decorated, & perfectly clean - her bedding...

We hadn't planned lodging for every night of our Costa Rican vacation so that we could have the opportunity to find a gem like El Mango Moon. The staff was very friendly and the room we were shown was clean and nicely appointed; robes, chocolates and fresh flowers were a welcome sight. We spent the late afternoon relaxing at the...

We planed our honeymoon very carefully, read the lonely planet Costa Rica book, stayed at some famous places, including Tabacon (overpriced and over rated) and The Mango Moon was the best. The hotel was cozy, comfortable, and romantic. The best breakfasts I have ever had. The help is so courteous they border on clairvoyant. The trips that and restaurants that...

The location is great but the plusses end there. For the negatives, there are many to note, but these are the major issues: 1) If your room says "partial ocean view" is not true in all cases. You may be on the side of the building and the only way to get an ocean view is to walk to the...

It is true, there are "cheaper" hotels in the area and there are more expensive hotels in the area. It all depends on what you desire. Our partial ocean view room is pictured on our website (suites/rates picture #1). This room is how it is advertised. This is the 1st partial ocean view complaint we have received on this room...

We spent 4 days during our honeymoon at this fanastic Bed & Breakfast. The staff was so attentive---especially Alvaro and Maggie. The view from the 3rd floor balcony is great--we got Mango Moon's "Honeymoon Package" and had breakfast delivered to our balcony every morning. And having Mango Moon work out all the details for us was phenomenal -- even if...
