To set the scene, we had 4 couples traveling together and were staying at an Airbnb in a "not so desirable" part of Costa Rica because this was our first trip here. After researching better options we booked a water taxi to Montezuma and spoke with the lovely ladies Lizette and Farina (I believe) and made a reservation at Casita...

The hotel is situated on the top of montezuma hills. 1km away from the town so it is clearly better to have a car. The last 500meter to get to the hotel are in very poor condition and you will need for sure a SUV (but if you travel in costa rica it is highly recommended to have a suv)....

We stayed for four days with six people, four in the Pool Villa and two in a Double Room. The good: - Clean - Very nice view. The view is about 60 degrees (hemmed in by trees on either side) and is set back far enough that you don't have a white water view. The sun rises in Dec right...

Arrived after long day of travel-shuttle to ferry to shuttle to taxi only to find that my travel company had not sent my confirmation to Casitas. No problem said Verina and Lizette when we arrived. They called company and quickly sorted everything out for us and brought us down to our casita, casita amarilla. We were so tired and hungry...

After arriving very frustrated, after a long drive a missed flight and my lost luggage, I have to say a terrible day turned into a great one because of the staff here. Lizbeth at the front desk and the owner Marco after some confusion on our booking were quick to say, "here are the keys to your room we'll figure...

About the only thing going for this hotel was the view, which was outstanding! But for $100 a night you basically get to sleep on a bed the is comparable to a piece of plywood... The front desk lady was very nice and attentive. Lots of really cool birds as well.

I can't believe somebody dared to give this place a bad review! The hotel was one of the best I have ever been in, luxurious with a really friendly price tag! We originally made a reservation for 2 nights but we stayed 4 eventually. We spent 3 nights in the Casa Blanca, it has a beautiful patio with hammock. It...

This hotel is killer in a couple ways. We really loved our room once the AC got going. It was hot, in the low 90's and we really needed it. The views from the rooms and the pool are to die for. The porch in the morning is a once in a lifetime experience. The access road, like many in...

I stayed here for one night in October 2015. The Good: - Spectacular sunrises - Nice pool & surrounding lounge - Spacious cabinas & property - Very clean - Complimentary coffee in room - Friendly owner & staff - Free wi-fi The So-so: - This property is a steep walk up a tall winding hill. When I read the other...

Was in Casitas just after New Year's Eve I was not disappointed! Very relaxing and with great privacy between houses. All the staff were very friendly. At the last day we even had some friends coming over and it was no issue at all. The pool is very cool. The only issue is that you should have a car (preferably...

“Make sure you get the rooms w a/c unless heat and/or mosquitoes dont bother you. It is extreemely humid and with no window screens the only other option is to open window and doors. Sun rises directly into doors with curtains that do not block sun so makes for early natural alarm. the windows are tinted so helps keep some heat out.”
