The pool was beautiful, mangos were everywhere, and I finally heard Howler Monkeys (after 8 weeks in Costa Rica). However, we must have been the first group back after Covid. Most of the rooms showers were not working, and if they were the water pressure was very low. Crabs climbed out of the drainage pipes and the water was very dingy. I do believe this has to do with the pipes simply not being run in a while. The Wi-Fi also did not work from our room. Overall, it was a little less than I expected, but still made a great one night stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Los Mangos. The cottages are very comfortable and kept very clean. Ours had one queen size bed and one twin bed. Unfortunately, the twin bed was less comfortable. The staff keep the rooms very clean, but in Costa Rica, bugs are everywhere, especially the bathroom. There were little ants in the bathroom in the morning, bigger ants in the afternoon and then white ants at night! So strange, but fascinating and truly Costa Rican. The pool is lovely and the yoga venue is so peaceful and beautiful. The rooms do not have A/C, but they have 2 fans. At certain times of the year, I imaging this is a deal breaker, but in January it was generally fine. A few hot nights made it difficult to sleep, but most of the time it was very comfortable.

Great place to spent your stay in Montezuma. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. The pool is great! Walking distance to the waterfalls. We were a mixed group of ten and everyone was very pleased with our choice! Totally worth staying!

I ditched my noisy hotel in favor of Hotel Los Mangos where I was greeted by the friendly owner, an outstanding yoga studio, lovely pool, and peace and quiet yet the beach was right across the street and town was a 5 minute walk. I had a wonderful, relaxing 6 day stay there and would go again in a minute.

Los mangos is great. A short walk to beautiful beaches, the village, and the Montezuma waterfalls. The owner is very friendly, knows the area well, and is happy to help with all your organizational needs. It’s not a 5 star stay, but if you're looking for a true Montezuma experience, this is the spot.

I really loved my bungalow. I had a package with Montezuma yoga which included 6 yoga lessons, a 60min massage and a private yoga lessons. The owner is really nice, I really enjoyed spending some time talking with him while using the wi-fi at the reception. To me it's better when you have wi-fi only in one specific spot so you enjoy more your trip and put your phone away a little bit. For sure when you get in this specific spot, there's often other people and it's really appropriate for conversation and get to know new people. I loved the yoga classes, the teachers Dagmar (the owner of the yoga studio), Mia and Eva Marie. I really enjoyed the pool as well and observing many different kind of animals and insects. Don't go to costa rica if you can't live with some insect friends.😜 I met a pretty cool spider, a caterpillar and many ants in my room, they're good roommates. Just be careful not to walk on them.…

I had a super relaxed stay here during my yoga & surf package. Beautiful grounds, great ocean view and fantastic yoga studio! Be aware that the walls are very thin in the main building I stayed at which means you can hear your neighbors but it also means you can hear the ocean which I absolutely loved! The place is super clean and staff very friendly.

If you are looking for a place to stay where you feel like you are welcomed and part of a community family, this is it! The owner is a most delightful gentleman who will chat with you over a morning coffee, and share valuable information about the local area. Everyone that works their has a smile to share, and truly wants to make sure you are happy and content. I stayed for 10 nights, and when I had to head home, truly felt like I was leaving good friends behind. The yoga was great, too! Took 4 classes while there, and once again felt welcomed and comfortable. If you are ready for an adventure with waterfall hikes, monkeys, turtles (check out asvomontezuma) and beautiful beaches, Hotel Los Mangos provides a great, convenient, affordable place to stay and experience the wonder of Costa Rica! ,…

Hi stayed here as part of the Montezuma Yoga package. I was in a very simple room in the little house with a shared bathroom. It was all I needed to enjoy the beauty of Montezuma. The pool is a great feature, and the yoga is wonderful! There’s only WiFi by reception, but this helps to feel disconnected and more relaxed. My only recommendation would be more comfortable chairs by the pool! Otherwise everything was lovely.
