We had a very nice one-night stay here while checking out the beautiful beaches of Montezuma. The staff was warm and friendly (very patient with my so-so Spanish!), and helped us easily upgrade to a suite so we could have a little more airflow and space. Basically a suite meant an extra twin bed in the room, nice big windows,...

Stayed in casita that had 2 beds, small refri, coffee pot, stove sink and a few plates and utensils. Well worth the extra for a/c. We only used it in the afternoon and early evening, turned it off at night and it was very pleasant. The pool overlooks the ocean and was very clean and inviting after a day of...

Rooms were clean and spacious, best was the pool, just need to lay on the sunbed and you can see the monkeys and iguanas. Excellent breakfast w 5 different choices to chose from. Lora the manager was very helpful and nice. Windows have only mosquito net and no glass so you could hear everything from other rooms, rain or animals....

This was the first place we stayed in Costa Rica and were very happy with it. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location is great for exploring Montezuma. The rooms are nothing fancy but the grounds of the hotel are beautiful and lush and breakfast was good. My only real concern was that the window in the...

I always say that the people make a place, and this was certainly true at Luz de Mono. The family who owns and runs the hotel were the most genuinely warm we encountered in all of Costa Rica (We had traveled through most of the country.) Although Montezuma, with its hippy vibe, was not our most favorite location in Costa...

This hotel is very nice if you are looking for a quiet and private place. The rooms and the bathrooms are clean and some of the rooms have balcony so you can see big trees and monkeys and different type of birds. The pool is great, and it is surrounded by beautiful gardens in which during the mornings you can...

My family and i stayed at Hotel Luz de Mono a few weeks ago. The hotel had clean rooms, spacious bathrooms and a nice pool. What really made this hotel stand out was when we left. I had forgotten an expensive bathing suit in the bathroom. While i was in the airport i sent them an email asking if they...

We went to Montezuma for the first part of our family vacation. It's a very relaxing paced town even for Costa Rica. That said, relax and enjoy! The room was nicely sized for the three of us. The breakfast was GREAT. You can feed the monkeys and what kid doesn't want to feed a monkey? The pool is perfectly located...

We had a great stay at this hotel which is really a lot of value for the money! The room we had was very basic, however it was clean and not without its charm. The garden of the hotel is like a little rain forest which gives a really nice atmosphere when walking or having breakfast in the semi-outdoor dining...

We absolutely loved this hotel! We had a double room on the ground floor which only had a fan but it was cool enough in the evenings. The wildlife in the hotel grounds is amazing. The pool is so lovely and its nice to be able to cool off and also still hear the sound of the ocean. The hotel...
