I had a single room with a full size bed, closet, and bathroom. The rooms are cleaned and swept daily. New towels are provided daily. Fyi.. The red knob in the shower is the hot water. The town is a short walk down a dirt road. The hike to the waterfalls is great. Having breakfast included in the price helps....

A short walk away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Montezuma. Right next to Montezuma yoga. Right at the base of the home to the waterfalls. My room was adequate with A/C. Breakfast included and was good. Reasonably priced. The birds and monkeys visit during breakfast. Be sure to order the guanabana juice.

Basic clean hotel with ice cold AC, a great common area, smoking fast wifi right across from the beach and adjacent to the waterfall trailhead. A rare find in Costa Rica. It is Tico run, and they are friendly, again a rare find as the friendlies seem to be expats

A clean hotel across the street from the beach, next to a spectacular waterfall just a short ten minute walk up the river. The rooms are very basic, clean, and most reasonably priced for the area ($40US less than across the street), and they have hot water. A short walk to Central Montezuma where there are several unique restaurants and bars. Family...

So this place was almost comical how bad it was. Not everything but a lot of it. Started off with us showing up and the girl at the front not capable of anything. Just hands us keys to a room and takes us there. This room had no faucet on the sink and no control for the A/C. Attempt 2:...

Montezuma is one of my favourite places in Costa Rica. This hotel is located so conveniently to the centre of town and beaches. Short walk (about 10 minutes) to stores, restaurants and supermarket. The rooms were basic, but had everything you need. Cleaned daily, and fairly spacious. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, and was very relaxing. Most importantly, I...

I stayed here as part of the G Adventures tour, and it was definitely my favourite hotel of the lot! I chose to stay in the room with AC (extra $10 a day), which made the heat a lot more bearable. The breakfast food and the BBQ organised by the owners was absolutely delicious! The hammock area on the top...

Stayed here as part of a trek, very relaxing location, we were fortunate enough to open out a view of the sea. Only a short but pleasant walk to the main bit of montezum but can be very dark! Staff are very helpful and friendly the breakfast is basic but good. The only thing I will say is it's an...

“If you stay upstairs, you might want to request a room which is located a little bit away from the common area in case there are any loud people hanging out (although it seems the atmosphere is chill and does not attract loud types.)”
