River setting is beautiful and fun to play in the river. Good for a short stay as the bed is not super comfortable and the rooms can get hot. However, a large fan is provided and we did not have issues with bugs in our room. Fun to relax on rocks in the river or be more adventurous and use...

Short drive off the main paved road. Nice stay. Our host was helpful and accommodating. We stayed in one of the tents backing onto the river. Comfy bed and nice bath. Breakfast was very good. The river is a great place to hang out and there's even a small swimming hole. The near by restaurant is good and reasonably priced,...

We stayed for four nights at Miranda and Cees' property. The experience was unique and I recommend it fully. The tents have all the amenities that you need and the bathrooms are very clean. Everything is kept neat and tidy and Angelika and Sadie, the Rio Tico employees, are extremely helpful and friendly. Cees was great at giving me directions...

This is s great place when you like to be in The tropical rainforest. 8 luxurious safari Tents with private bathrooms are located on The river/cascade. Great swimming in The river and opportunities to walk and spot toucans. Simpele, but good breakfast. Great stop before going into Corcovado.

Attentive service, original concept and great layout. in front of the majority of the tents is just awesome, the constant water noise will put anyone to sleep in a heartbeat! Few minor points that we noticed: - weird smell in our tent, probably from and anti-mold treatment - no mini-fridge, we arrived with 3 grocery bags of left over from...

We just enjoyed a fabulous friends-weekend at Rio Tico. Their backyard playground is all we needed to have such an enjoyable and relaxing time. The river, fresh water, rapids, waterfalls, swimming holes, slides, bubbles and more! Plus, very close to Playa Ventanas, one of our favorite Costa Rica beaches with the caves, so cool! And, also easy access to the great...

This was the second time we have stayed at Rio Tico with a little shorter of a stay at only 4 days. The last time we were here was a couple of years ago and things were exactly the same...PERFECT. It was as wonderful this time as the first. This is a delightful way of getting close to nature. I...

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary and a bit more adventurous, then this is the place for you. The property owner/proprietor, Cees, went out of his way to ensure that our vacation was excellent. He even helped change...

My husband and I needed to find a middle ground between camping and a luxury resort and Rio Tico totally fit the bill. We stayed 3 nights in one of the safari tents and had a comfortable, relaxed and rejuvenating stay. The tents are comfortable with everything you need at arm's distance. The view from the tent, hiking, creek and...
