Our newly refurbished cabin amongst the trees with two hammocks on the balcony was our luxurious home for two nights. The open air bathroom was well equipped and open to the trees at the back so you could bird watch whilst having a shower! The food was excellent served by friendly staff and the Imperial beer refreshingly cold. Nelson was...

We spent 3 nights at Danta Corcovado (DC) and would highly recommend it! Property and getting there: DC is located about 40 minutes north of Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula. We flew to PJ from San Jose on SANSA and arranged for DC to pick us up at the airport in PJ. They were right on time and we...

Danta Lodge offers the best possible experience in the jungle of Costa Rica. The lodgings are unique and beautifully furnished with original pieces hand-crafted by the owner, Merlin Oviedo. These are all made from wood which has fallen in the forest so that none of this amazing jungle is being disturbed. Merlin, like his name, is truly a magician with...

I was talked into driving 2.5 hours there and 2.5 hours back for just one night, and it was totally worth it. While I didn't get to experience a lot in the Osa Peninsula (or even enter Corcovado National Park), staying at Danta Lodge gave me a huge taste of what makes this area so special. The artistic use of...

First we have seen the room it was really great surprise with opened air bathroom but in reality it was strength to have shower and toilet in used because of mosquitoes and other insects specially at night time. We have got insects and spiders in our beds too

This hotel can almost be described as upgraded indoor camping - and it was great! The two of us stayed in the "Rana room" which is part of the main lodge building. We enjoyed being so close to the restaurant and bar because we didn't have to walk outside in the dark or in the rain. The downside is that...

We stayed here for three nights as part of a package with Saladero Lodge and realty enjoyed our time here. Our bungalow was called Chimincoco and was set in the forest, raised up on a deck in a lovely location. A very large open sleeping area with screened sides so there was plenty of airflow and the sounds of the...

Staying in one of the cabins is great - the furniture in all of the place is very special. The meals are fabulous. The owner, the manager and the entire staff are very helpful. The guides are outstanding. Swimming in the catarata during a hike in the national park is absolutely refreshing. Go on a night walk, too!

We booked three nights in Danta Lodge and we were lucky to have the "iglo"room. An iglo shaped room with a gorgeous bathroom. I was very enthousiastic the first day. Unfortunately it all went very wrong... We wanted to do the night tour, which was at 6pm. We showed up at the reception at 5.50h, but the guide wasn't there...

Our second 6-night stay at Danta Lodge was spectacular! Our bungalow was adjacent to the lek of an orange-collard manakin, in view of a slaty-tailed trogon nesting in a termite nest and squirrel monkeys in the trees overhead. At the end of an early morning bird tour with Eduardo, we were summoned to rescue a 3-toed sloth threatened by dogs...
