We are very happy that we chose La Foresta for our stay on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica! We love nature, and in this regard La Foresta was perfect for us: large territory with a wonderful well-looked-after garden, own trails in the jungle, own ziplines. We saw a lot of different animals both in the garden and on the trails, as the territory is neighbouring the Manuel Antonio national park.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful: receptionists, the restaurant team, the ziplining team.
The pool was a great option for hot days to take a swim between activities.
The room was cozy and very clean, really nothing to complain about.
The breakfast could be more varied, but taste-wise pretty good.
Many thanks to the staff, we loved our stay!

My only regret is that I only spent one night at this lovely hotel. The room itself was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The common areas of the hotel are fantastic. We enjoyed the beautifully maintained gardens while swimming in the pool as well has having dinner and breakfast in the restaurants. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The hotel is easy to find and feels very safe as the entire property is gated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quepos or Manuel Antonio.

Spent three relaxing days here. Everyone was friendly and professional, from the reception staff to the bar and restaurant staff. The spotless rooms are large, the bathroom and shower very roomy. Lots of combinations of lighting. There are fans and air-con available and a fridge and a separate sink in the bedroom. The pool is spotless and a good size. The gardens are kept meticulously. There are large grounds with good trails. We were alerted by bar staff to monkeys in the trees and spent a good 25 minutes watching spider monkeys jumping from tree to tree. In the evening we saw Toucans and flocks of Macaws coming to roost. There is some road noise depending on which room you are in. I was further away so hardly heard anything. We ate here two nights, the food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good with usual choice of fruit scrambled eggs, fried banana etc.

We’re visiting Costa Rica for our honeymoon and are not happy with our stay here at La Foresta. We arrived about 6:00pm and we’re told the attached restaurant would be open til 8:00pm. After settling in our room, we walked over to the restaurant at 7:10pm and there was no one in sight. We double checked at the front desk and she wasn’t helpful for finding a place for dinner. Instead we had to drive into town in the dark. Their “security” is a gate opener/closer when you drive through. No ID check. The room was supposed to be cleaned, but there is food residue in the fridge, the shower does not drain, the sink does not drain, and the road noise is horrible. We will not be staying for an additional night as we had planned.

The front reception sold us 2 tours and seemed to leave out details. We went on a hike thru the national park, they never said we would end up at the beach and to bring swim suits and we paid for zip lines on their property and said we couldn't bring anything even cameras or phones yet the other people on the same tour were allowed anything. The breakfast was decent and they had a good happy hour specials on drinks.

Set in beautiful gardens which are extremely well maintained. Our room (306) was near the pool and thus as far as you could get from the busy main road that runs past the site, so we were not really disturbed by it. Large bungalow with two bedrooms, recently refurbished bathroom. WiFi worked in our room.

There was a good selection at breakfast with fruit, yogurt, and a variety of cooked items with some variation each day. The food we had in the restaurant and around the pool was very good.

Nice pool with sun loungers around it. If you do the zip wiring trip it ends back at this hotel.

This was one of the worst hotels that I stayed in. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. The noise from the street close by is so irritating and gave us restless sleep. The rooms and beds were not comfortable. The breakfast was not fresh and not tasty. When asked to do anything the staff makes you feel they are doing you a favor. Large delays to do anything. Finally they kick customers out at checkout time even when they have an emergency. I had an emergency and they refused to help us and give us late checkout even through the hotel was empty and no guests were waiting. Most of the rooms were literally empty and we were with a few other guests there. Overall bad. Not recommended.

Dear Adham, Greetings from La Foresta Hotel! Thank you for stay with us! Regarding your comments: I would like to clarify your allegations: first your only complaint by the time of your checkout was only your check out time, you stay couple days with us but you did not report any complain since your stay was for 3 nights, so I feel sad that you did not tell us anything about how you feel regarding the staff, breakfast and the room, We would be more than happy to try helping you back then. Second I would like to clarify about Check out time: our Check out time is clearly specify on your reservation and it is at 11 am, you ask for 1 hour more, since usually we have to charge for that, we decide to provide it free, then after 12 we expect for you to checking out, however we call the room and your partner still there, so we kindly explain that for operations reasons we need some help with the room, but still you were more than welcome to use the rest of the facilities including storeage, swinming pool, restaurant and parking lot as many time as you needed. Inmediatly after, you call very upset and yelling saying how bad we were treating you and demading Late cheackout at 1 pm free, so we kindly explain you that for operations reason that was no possible, so we offer until 12: 30 pm free, with the option to stay at the property as much time as you need. We try to help people and offer the best options we have available by the moment, we feel sad about your situation with your car and also that you understand that you must leave the hotel, we weren't able to offer the room that late, but we offer the best we have by the moment: a storeage, swinming pool, restaurant and parking lot, so we feel such as shame that you leave the hotel in your car by 1 pm. I hope you keep enjoying your stay in Costa Rica! Pura Vida! Hotel La Foresta Nature Resort

We all enjoyed our stay in this resort, we went with another family. The hotel is clean, well kept, and the landscaping and nature around is stunning.
The room was very nice and comfortable, with two separate rooms and a small entrance living room with a TV. The bathroom was spacious and everything worked very well.
The rooms had a queen bed in each ( not 2 king beds as advertised..) and since we're a family of 5 with 3 kids, we asked for an additional bed that they could not provide, even though there was space for it. The food at the restaurant was ok, nothing special, but the waiters were very nice, polite and helpful.
It was a little noisy from the main street nearby, so try to get a room closer to the pool further inside the property.
The zip lining with Titi Canopy tour they have on site is AMAZING, highly recommend it, we all had a blast on our last day before leaving.
The pool is very nice, just no jacuzzi unfortunately.
Overall a great place!

This hotel was part of a tour. The location is not ideal for visiting a lot from there. The hotel itself is ok, garden well maintained, rooms spacious but somewhat dated. The breakfast was really disappointing with very little choice and no variety, especially compared to all the other hotels we visited in Costa Rica.
The reception staff was uninterested and upon departure we had to pay another $10 because one of the towels was dirty. There was a mud stain on it that could easily be washed out with the first wash...

The hotel is on a major highway but our room was at the very back of the hotel so couldn’t hear outside noise. Their bed is comfy but the room is bland. Dinner was so-so. Better meals to be had in Manuel Antonio for the same price.
