Quite a good location that allows you to. Explore downtown on foot. Staff was friendly enough, the lobby is large and has several tables for people to sit at. Decent size room and clean. The window was towards a 2sqm inner "shaft", where other windows or bathroom were facing, I never saw something like that. There was cigarette smoke somehow coming in, from the smoking area.

The staff is very kind, they even gave us their own converter to charge our phones. Has private safe parking which is a must in San Jose! The room is very big, the bathroom is huge. Be aware that there are a lot of bugs & insects in Costa Rica.

Not the most luxurious place but for the price it’s good value. We had a private room with en suite. It was clean and well presented. Great location close to the centre. The staff could definitely be more helpful, the Belgian gentleman should do a training course with the rest of them as he is the only one who is happy and provides smiley customer service!

As title states it is situated very centrally, it was our third visit and it was as good as the previous ones, particularly Claudia on reception she went out of her way to help us and was always pleasant. The rooms are very basic but are clean, there is a choice of breakfasts, some of the rooms have shared bathrooms but are kept extremely clean, it is an extra $10 a night for ensuite but it is not expensive to stay there in the first place. It is ideal for one or two days stopover which is what we have used it for after landing at San Jose airport before our six hour transfer to Cahuita. If we go back to Costa Rica we will definitely stay there again.

I was very disappointed with the customer service. I stayed one night in a private room and next day after the check out I stored my luggage and went to explore some areas in the city while waiting to my flight at 11 30 pm. When I get back to the hotel at 9 pm I noticed the front desk guy wasn't very friendly and I proceed to do the checkin for my flight... my flight was schedule for 1 am instead and I was planning to stay in the hotel lobby and take an Uber at 10 pm but I was wrong .... the guy at the front desk approach me and told me that I wasn't allow to wait there... and that I could but I had to pay $40, I was shocked becouse in 12 years traveling to Costa Rica I never hear anything like that so I figure he wanted some cash ... I refused to pay extra and he got very aggressive and told me to wait at the airport ... I was a bit scared and call an Uber at 9 30 pm and while I was walking away I said *I dont think I am coming back here ... and he said **** We stay pretty busy so it doesn't matter .... (They dont care) The ironic thing is that I have seem this guy before at this property so yet he doesn't understand anything about hospitality...

Dear guest, We apologize for the inconvenience. The satisfaction of our guests is a very important issue for us. In this case,we talk with both of our receptionist to know what happened this day. We wanted to explain, as all our customers know we provided for free storage room service no matter how many hours and sometimes even days and weeks, our check out time it's at 11am from the room even that we allowed customers to leaves her stuff here with us in a safe place and come back to pick it up at any time and even stay in our common areas until maximum 9pm, as other places have rules we also have rules and we think it's normal. Here in Costa Rica and around the world. We are sorry if your experience wasn't the best in this time, but we tried to help as much we can did. Sorry for the inconvenience that we might have cause to you. We don't want to arguing with you for a topic that we already kindly explain. If you have a bad opinion from our place we can respect that, but we are not agree about your complain. Have a nice day
