The location is quite remote but as San Jose has not much to offer it is perfect to start /end your Costa Rica trip here. You can easily take a Bus to get to the City Center (costs almost nothing), however the Taxi from/to the airport is quite expensive as it is a half hour ride. The food was really...

You can "go home again!" We stayed here 5 years ago and came back and found everything in pristine condition and Ken and Susannah are still there and still the best hosts in Costa Rica! We stayed for 2 nites when we arrived and 1 night before we left Costa Rica - culminating in a great barbecue dinner with some...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Nice accommodations. Very quiet, especially one night when there were no other guests. Ken is a wonderful host. Very friendly and full of helpful information. Dinner prepared by his wife was delicious and breakfast was good too. Friendly dogs and a cat. Beautiful area and great place to walk, with less...

I found the traffic in San Jose to be miserable so rather than spend another night in town we booked at this little B&B on the road leading out of town to Limon. Ken's place is just a short drive in case you absolutely needed to be in town. He has several lovely rooms, all very comfortable and serves a...

Pros: - Really (I mean 4 star quality) nice rooms with Wifi and access to lots of movies. - We liked the warm welcome but things went downhill in the morning. Cons - Not transparent on pricing (Offered pickup for free...

We stayed with Kenneth at La Boruca on Dec 24 & 25. It was a great location, just outside the city, so it felt like an escape. The property is beautiful, as are the rooms. Kenneth has great internet access and a huge collection of movies and music in each room. We ate dinner at the hotel both nights. On...
