The only convenient thing about the hotel is that it is only 15 mins walk to the centre of San Jose and it is in a very 'foodie' area so you have lots of good restaurants to go to. This hotel has changed hands in the last 3 months- and there are more than a few teething problems. 1. The...

The hotel is in the nice neighborhood of Los Yoses. I liked the fact that it was relatively quiet (morning construction noise from next door) while being convenient (10 minutes/$4 cab/on bus lines) to downtown and Hospital Clinica Biblica, and also close to San Pedro with the University of Costa Rica/shopping. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was...

Rooms vary greatly in size, but all very clean. I was on the bottom level of the hotel and found its together quarters to be cozy and all that I needed. Other people who I was with stayed on the upper level and had larger rooms with walk-in closets. Showers get very hot, a luxury in Central America. Did not...

The hotel was well kept and had lovely gardens. The street traffic was noisy, but I'm guessing that is common throughout San Jose. I thought breakfast was included, but at check-in I was informed that is only the case when the room costs at least $60. The $7 breakfast however was good. I got the "typical" : rice and beans,...

I stayed at this hotel this week and it's a small, friendly, family-style hotel with large rooms and massive bathrooms. It's about 15 mins' easy walk from the City Centre or on a bus route into town. The staff are friendly and there if you need them, but not in your face. The Costa Rican breakfast was delicious and the...

I had the misfortune of visiting this hotel for 3 nights during my stay in Costa Rica. On our arrival after a 13hr flight from the UK we were greeted by friendly reception staff and a glass of juice. On our second day we had the pleasure of being woken up a 6am by the construction site opposite the hotel....

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on arrival in Costa Rica, and one night before we returned home. As a convenient hotel for the airport it's fine, takes about 40 minutes. The rooms are clean but not spotless - shower could do with a bit of a scrub. There is a slightly tired air about the decor. When...

We stayed in this hotel for our first two nights in San Jose and returned to it for the evening before we flew home. Unusually for Costa Rica some of the staff were unhelpful. Our room was up a flight of stairs and no help was offered with luggage. Breakfast was fine and the small restaurant quite a pleasant setting....

Visited here for a short stop off before our trip around Costa Rica. It was overall a great hotel. We felt very welcomed and looked after. No air conditioning but we didn't really need it. The shower was really annoying to use but thats just a minor. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.

The staff was so friendly and kind, and they gave us great directions to sites around the city. They gave us welcome drinks and we were able to sit in their courtyard that is beautifully landscaped. Our room was beautifully simple with comfortable accommodations and a bathroom worth writing home about! We ate two meals at their restaurant and enjoyed...
