My friends and I were working at the children's hospital in San Jose for a month, and had an amazing time staying at KAPS Place. Karla and her staff really went out of their way to help us out. If we needed to get breakfast earlier in order to make it to work, KAP's scheduled breakfast earlier for us. If...

Kap's is a cozy home away from home when you're stuck in San Jose. Rooms are small but each is unique, and there are uncountable corners to sit and check email or get work done. The kitchen, available 24-hours for guests to cook, is well equipped, and Kap's serves tea, coffee, and cocoa all day -- a delight during the...

Kap's Place - what a beautiful, creative, joyful and spiritual oasis, especially convenient for traveling groups, families and artists! We arrived from a long journey through Costa Rica and were so refreshed just by the colors of this place! And if you happen to have noisy neighbors, just get some earplugs from the kitchen dispenser:-)! You people are so friendly...

I had the opportunity to stay at KAPS place several times over a two month period while I was in Costa RIca: sometimes with my husband, sometimes with my parents, sometimes alone. We all thoroughly enjoyed the brightly decorated rooms, lobby, kitchen, entryways. The rooms are spotless, the multilingual staff was very personal, friendly, helpful and courteous. I especially appreciated...

Kaps Place is truly a hidden gem in San Jose. Karla Arias is an amazing host and will help you plan the perfect Costa Rica vacation no matter what your interests are. The rooms are small but bright, colorful and impeccably maintained. Services include airport pick-up and drop-off, free Wi-Fi, two computers for guest use, common kitchen if you're inclined...

I'm staying in Kaps Place for a month and I enjoy every the kindness of the people, the very joyful colors of the walls and charming decoration. Having a tea in the hamac or sun bath in the little garden is always a pleasure and I truly beleive it is hard to find so much charm in San Jose. Although...

Kap's place feels like a hostel but have a variety of private rooms based around pretty communal areas. We stayed the night before we flew out of San Jose and found Kap's in a more affluent area of San Jose - the banana barons mansions are around this area (Barrio Amon) and close by are some government buildings, so lots...

We selected this hotel because it was recommended by a couple of guide books. The pros are: helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, convenient and safe location. The cons: uncomfortable rooms with no hangers, noisy, couldn't sleep. We got two rooms sharing one private bath. One room had no window and no ventilation whatsoever once the door was closed. There were...

We got into San Jose and went to the hotel across the street from Kap's believing we had a reservation. We thought wrong and were turned away at 6am! I knew Kap's was across the street so we crossed our fingers and were ecstatic they had space and we could check in right then. They even let us have breakfast...
