The staff is really what makes this place. We stayed here with another couple twice in January 2011 on our way in and out of Costa Rica. During the planning, Kurt, the owner responded to all my e-mails extremely quickly answering all questions promptly. We had the hotel arrange for pick up and drop off at the airport ($20 US...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa 69 on multiple occasions throughout a 6 month trip. We absolutely loved staying there! The hotel itself is beautiful and in a very good location. It is close to all major attractions and easy to get to. Kurt, the owner, was so wonderful and hospitable to us. He will full of knowledge and...

Stayed one night @ Casa 69. Staff was friendly. Helped make arrangements from airport to hotel & from hotel to car rental place the next day. The rooms were comfortable & clean. The common areas, beautiful plant-filled. The included breakfast was delicious, complete with yummy fruit juice & homemade jam. You can add cooked food to the breakfast for a...

If this is your first experience in San Jose than you may think reviewers are crazy for recommending this place due to its location. San Jose is a razor wire, security guard, locked door kind of place. But if you need a safe place to stay for a night before heading to the more beautiful parts of Costa Rica then...

Date of stay was Dec 1 - 4 2010. Decided to stay at Casa 69 based on the great reviews I read on Trip Adviser. I emailed them and they promptly returned the email with information, rates, (Great Rates!) and offered advice on all questions I had. The manager Kurt had a taxi driver waiting for me at the airport...

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and San Jose. We stayed at Casa 69 based on the ratings and recommendations from Trip Advisor. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a great start of our first full day in Costa Rica...we loved the fresh juice. Larry, Kurt and Tina (their dog) made our stay memorable. We couldn't...

Wife and I stayed three nights upon arrival to Costa Rica. Pretty non descript from the outside but lush gardens on the inside. Tina, the dog, is everyone's best friend. Pet her once and she'll be your friend forever. Larry, the manager, found us a great tour of the Doka Coffee Estate and the Rain Forest. Picked us up at...

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa 69 and would recommend it highly to travelers looking for a moderately priced, convenient inn close to the center of the city. Rooms are simple and comfortable. The staff is warm and friendly. The continental breakfast is perfect, but there is a selection of add-ons for those with an appetite. Casa 69...

The staff was very friendly and tenative. Our cab driver was awesome. The food was good. I felt very safe. I used the internet at a near by house for super cheap. We were directed by the owner to a very good nearby restaurant. The not so good. I don't think our room was properly prepared before we arrived (departure)....

My 13 year old daughter and I loved this place! Sadly, we were only able to stay one night as we arrived in San Jose to transfer to Puerto Viejo the next day. The owners were some of the most welcoming people I've met in Costa Rica. Inside the concrete and gated building was an oasis with every little nook...
