This is beautiful location just a short boat ride from Dangriga. The cabins are cozy and clean. It is apparent that the management takes great pride in providing a restive atmosphere. Doreen, the onsite manager, was especially friendly and helpful.

We booked the cabanas over the water for the last three days of our two-week vacation in Belize, and boy did we save the best for last! The island is so small that you can trek around it in under 15 minutes (if you're a slower walker) and had all the rustic charm that we were hoping for. We had...

This place is unbelievable. The huts on the water with the hammock are just stunning. You can watch the sting rays from your balcony and swim with eagle rays just off the jetty's. The rooms are clean, the food is delicious and the staff are lovely. My only criticism is the boats to get there. As a single traveler I...

Amazing overwater bungalow with great viewing from the porch of the rays as they swim by. Also really nice view of the edge of the reef and cooling breeze. Thr room is quite comfortable with a nice bathroom. Good Belizean food served family style which encourages conversation with other guests. Everyone very helpful. Just book early or you won't get...

it was one of our places that we stayed in Belice. The food was excellent, the room simple but perfect, everything was so calm, excellent to do snorkeling. You can also do SUP for a very good price.. We loved it!

It was excellent. Everything was perfect. Food super good. People are so open and super nice. The room is the strict minimum but you don't need anything else. Extra relaxing and the feeling to be in another world

The departing port and boat ride to the island was sketchy at best, downright dangerous. The island was a residence island for the captain and crew members not a resort with a bar and loud music all night, right in the middle of everything...try relaxing with a drop beat all night and all day. Accommodations were some of the worst...

Not a five star resort by any means but perfect for those who enjoy a rustic environment. Staff was friendly, food was awesome and cabins were clean. The price was great and affordable. The snorkeling was good as well.

This was one of the best snorkeling experiences of my life, and I have been many places. The colours where outstanding, the number of fish was unbelizable. We were taken out to two different locations right near Tobacco Caye, both where amazing. Our Hotel, Jaguar Reef a catered lunch at the Caye, it was excellent. Our Group played volleyball with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tobacco Caye Paradise Cabins is a small Belizean-own lodge with six private "over the water" beach cabanas. All cabanas face north to the Belize Barrier Reef and have wonderful decks perched over turquoise tropical waters. Each deck has a hammock and an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea. Accommodations are clean, comfortable and charmingly rustic. There are five 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabanas, and one 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabana. Each of the cabins have private bathrooms and rainwater-fed showers. While there is no electric or water utilities on the island, however, we collect our own rainwater and generate our own electricity from solar and generator (when necessary) power. We have wi-fi access on the island, as well. Delicious meals are available in the dining hall, where you can dine with fellow travelers and share the day's adventures. ... more   less
