This was our first experience with a B&B. My husband and I were traveling from Fairbanks to Valdez and we booked a stay at this B&B. We arrived a little late and Gary was amazing. He greeted and welcomed us. We were hungry and Gary took some fruit out and sat with us while we ate. We met Sheila in...

We stayed at Aura Borealis for one night. The room was comfortable (upstairs) but small. Personally, I did not like sharing the bathroom across the hall. Gary is a great host and very interesting personality. The small of incense or pouporri was overwhelming. It does have a kind of hippie-vibe and there was a massage room down the hall from...

The host was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean but shared. The only complaint was the buffet breakfast. I would prefer a hot breakfast of bacon and eggs or pancakes with fruit.

We stayed here for a night on a drive from Valdez to Anchorage. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We talked extensively with our host Gary and he took us to look at the fish wheel on the Copper River. We had the downstairs room with the private bathroom and recommend that room highly. Breakfast was excellent with some of Gary's...

Room had a pretty comfortable queen bed and was very clean. There was a TV and large closest available in room. Bathroom was shared and across the hall. Location is pretty quiet but could hear trucks on road or other quests in common area. The breakfast was pretty nice with fresh smoked salmon. There was no hot prepared foods like...

The couple that run this B&B are super. Room was clean and breakfast was very good. Only downside was that if you open the windows there is a lot of road noise. We had to share a bathroom but that was not a problem.

The Aura Borealis was a great place to stop on our way to Valdez. It is conveniently located off the highway but has a quiet setting in the woods. Our bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. We appreciated having a television in the room. Lots of good choices for breakfast including fresh smoked salmon!

A very nice B&B just south of Glennallen, on the way to Valdez. Clean room with a bathroom across the hall (which I discovered was shared with the folks staying downstairs; that would have been good to know because I thought it was the bathroom for my room only), wifi, and TV in room. Many breakfast choices. There were strong...

Sheila and Gary will wake you up if you want to see the aurora borealis, if it is visible, unfortunately, it was cloudy while we stayed there. :( so we didn't get to see the aurora there). We enjoyed our stay so much that on our trip back from Valdez, AK we stayed a second time. Sheila is very nice...

Most comfortable bed and pillows we found in Alaska, and this includes some luxury hotels. Also the best coffee! This is a remote area pretty far off the usual tourist track and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice touches at this B&B. A very nice continental breakfast with fresh cut fruit, yogurt, grains, and every kind of bread or...
