Carol, We are so glad that you appreciated our historic charm, location and service. There are definitely quirky aspects when staying in an historic hotel but we agree with you that the quaint charm makes up for it. The bacon-wrapped scallops are a favorite of mine as well. Thank you for visiting Annabelle's. The staff of the hotel, and restaurant, really work hard to provide good service. I am happy to see that you were the recipient of that great service. Your time is writing this 4 star review is very much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

It is described as a historic hotel, and it really is. Location is great if you want to walk around the downtown shopping area, but other than that, I recommend staying elsewhere. The heating system is incredibly noisy and gets annoying. You can't control much about it. The

Mary Jane, We are happy to know that you enjoyed the ambiance and service that was provided at the Gilmore Hotel. The hotel does, indeed, have an optimum location. As you pointed out the hotel is an historic property and with it come the constraints of a bygone era. The hotel does have rooms of various sizes depending on your selection and rate requirements. However, what some rooms lack in size we hope is made up in charm. We do hope you will stay with us again in one of our larger rooms.
