I had wanted to go to Alaska for over 50 years and my wife had wanted to return to her birth state nearly that long so we had expectations of it being the trip of a lifetime. Thanks to Summit Lake Lodge, owners, staff, and Henry (the pub door guard dog), every experience we had not only met expectations but...

Clean, small, cabins. Nice, but not fancy. No TV or radio, but who needs? Nice lake to walk around and nice adjoining mountains. Pretty much by itself on the road to Soldotna from Anchorage. Secluded and quiet. Breakfast was wonderful - made to order. Friendly staff. Recommended and would stay again.

We were heading to Seward from Anchorage and decided to book a night stay in Summit lake Lodge, since it is about halfway (driving all the way to Seward would've been difficult since we were able to leave at night). The lodge is right on the Seward highway so impossible to miss. The room was very nice, with the interior...

We stayed here one night in late July before we headed in to Seward. The room was very clean but a little small. We received vouchers for breakfast and we served by a very nice and helpful college age employee. Breakfast is made to order from a limited menu. The selection was more than adequate and the food was great....

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the property. The owners prepared a breakfast basket for us one morning because we were headed out early for a day long cruise in the fjords and that was greatly appreciated. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and my husband really liked the halibut he ordered for dinner. His only quibble was...

I thought the reviews on Tripadvisor were a little misleading when I booked 2 cabins online. Luckily I printed off the confirmation to prove the reservations I made because when we were checking in they had only 1 reservation in their system. They were able to "upgrade" my parents at no additional cost to a cabin with 2 queen beds....

I first want to thank you for your business and for staying at Summit Lake Lodge. We strive to make each guest experience as pleasant as possible. I would like to point out that two “lodge” rooms were rented and not cabins. The specifics between lodge rooms and cabins are stated on our website as well as bookings.com, including the...

My sister and I stayed in the Bear Cabin for 3 nights while vacationing in Alaska. These cabins are very nice, comfortable beds, quiet location. We appreciated the extra sink and separate toilet/shower areas. The overall floor plan accommodated our luggage and extra gear. Breakfasts at the lodge were a wonderful start to the day. Everyone was very friendly and...

We had two rooms. The first was a Lodge Room. It was a completely separate building on a circle. It had a large bathroom area with separate shower & sink, separate toilet, and another sink. There was no bath tub. The fixtures were up to date. There were two queen beds and a desk. There were some shelves and an...

We stayed one night in cabin #8 and had dinner and breakfast. Cabin bathroom was very clean and looked brand new. Had excellent halibut and salmon dishes for dinner, breakfast was great as well - breakfast comes with the lodge/cabin. Staff service was excellent!

Stayed here one night on travel from Anchorage to Homer. Site is excellent as base to explore region. Trip to Seward is ~one hour from Lodge. Cabins are spacious and clean. Noise levels are low. Shower area is large and dual sinks are nice bonus. Hot water appears to be from Tankless unit which heats quickly and is unlimited for...
