Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We appreciated the cleanliness, comfort and convenience of a separate entrance of the Pioneer Suite! It was a quick overnight stay for old friends meeting up for a reunion, and we were grateful to have the option of sleeping a number of us so comfortably. We were there in the off-season, so breakfast was not part of our reservation or expectations. And we didn't have time to enjoy the truly lovely spaces open to guests in the house. The location is close to downtown Palmer, but the setting and the view of mountains is a world away!

We stayed in the Reindeer room. The king size bed was so comfortable. From the moment we walked into the house we were no amazed at how lovely it was. It is so inviting and cozy. The breakfast in the room was nice for us because we planned on an early start the next morning. My husband was thankful for the living space to sit and read his Bible in the morning. We didn’t get to meet our hosts but hopefully next time. 5 stars are not enough. We will recommend your lovely home to our friends. Thank you Jeanmarie

Thank you SO much Jeanmarie! I love to know our guests feel VERY welcomed whether we are able to greet/meet them or not. We both have jobs and often miss our guests, but before each arrival we check all the details hoping they will find EVERY little thing they might need to be comfortable and relaxed. Guests like you make sharing our home a blessing! I do hope you can come again!! God bless you!

This is the sixth year we have stayed at Alaska's Harvest B&B during the Alaska State Fair and we love it. The hosts treat their guests as family and go above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable. It is truly a home away from home. And we always enjoy the view of the valley with contented sheep roaming around!

Aw Thank you Laurel! Not only is it an honor to have a published author in our home, it is wonderful to consider you a friend. I'm glad that you can come home to a quiet place after long days of sharing Alaskan history via Aunt Phil's Trunk books and articles. You and Don are amazing!

You have a beautiful home and wonderful hospitality. The conveniences of the bedroom, bathroom, sofa, porch, TV were nice. Personally, I’d prefer the food located more in a common area. I think it would be hard to maintain freshness with the food spread out between rooms. On that note, I had cereal the last day and the milk had a different taste.

Oh I wish you had told me! I keep all fresh items in our extra fridge in the garage. Lots of unopened milks dated way out too. I wish I could have spoiled you and gotten you anything you might have needed differently! Thank you for the kind review. We love our guests! One reason each room has a kitchenette with its own food (which we do replace after each guest's stay) is because unfortunately some folks are not very conscientious or thoughtful about being quiet for the sake of others who may wish to sleep in a bit, so we converted each room to have its own private eating area. But, I do understand what you are saying. Thank you again!

The B&B is very well situated, in a quiet neighborhood but not too far from downtown Palmer with its restaurants. From our room we had a gorgeous view of the mountains. Breakfast is to be taken in the room so it’s not likely you will meet other guests. The room was clean and very comfortable

The Alaska's Harvest B&B was a lovely accommodation in Palmer. We stayed there for one night before our Matanuska glacier walk, and it was a great location! Collette was in contact with us before our stay and left a personalized note on the front door upon our arrival. The room (Creekside) was decorated beautifully, had an attached private bath, and had a wonderful view of the property and mountains. The room was also well stocked with many options for a continental breakfast. Although we did not get a chance to meet Collette, our time at the Alaska's Harvest B&B was fantastic and would absolutely stay there again! Highly recommended!!
