Yes, the rooms are small, with single beds. Yes, the bathrooms are down the hall, and they were clean. Yes, temperature for 4 rooms is controlled in one, but we were comfortable. Yes, carpet needs attention/replacement. The wi-fi worked, the coffee maker worked until the pot disappeared on the 4th morning. The weather was good, so we didn't spend any...

OK, this is not your usual hotel. You would not stay here in normal circumstances. But you are in a unique and very remote wildlife location. Yes, there are no private bathrooms. But while we were there, the bathrooms were always very clean. The wifi worked well while we were there and better than I have experienced at some high...

St. Paul Island is rich with history, going way back. I was there as part of a small cruise boat, and visited the wonderful museum, which is right next door to the classic Russian Orthodox Church. The gift shop is a plus, with a good selection of stuff, considering how remote St Paul Island really is. The seal rookery, only...

The hotel is the only property available but it was very adequate. There is no bathroom in the room, a men's and women's bathroom. If you need to visit a bathroom frequently you might try to get a room closer to the bathroom. Laundry facilities are available and are free to use.

The King Eider Inn was all I needed when on St-Paul Island. I had a room with a bed and air conditioning. More importantly a short walk down the hallway was a bright room with clean sinks, clean toilets and clean, private showers with hot water. I wasn't there to stay in my room. I was there to photograph birds....

St. Paul is an experience in itself. Accessible only by a turboprop from Anchorage, getting here is dependent on the whims of mother nature. Our plane had to make an unscheduled stop in King Salmon and the pilot heard of a tsunami off Japan and came out to tell us he wouldn't go on till the danger was past. Turned...

Do not underestimate how remote St. Paul is. Do not arrive without a reservation as this is the only game in town. Do not expect to be waited on nor to have choices on room size, amenities etc.... This Hotel is a basic room with a bed. Do study ahead about the Culture and history of the region. The Native's...

Stayed here in August for birding. Most rooms would have been cramped for two people. The bed and what else was in the rooms were basic though worked well enough. They were small enough for just one. The temperature for several rooms is controlled by only one room, but for me, the temperature remained okay, though I was not in...

The vast majority of people who come here are on a birding tour which houses guests here but apparently is not closely associated with the tour company. The buildings appear to be pre-fab and provide only the basics - a room to sleep in and a communal bathroom. The office is not open and staffed unless a plane is landing...

Traveled there the last week of August, 2013, as a member of a group of birders searching for Asian rarities. Did not stay in the hotel, but in the duplex, which was a pleasant surprise! Great kitchen, many bedrooms, large dining/living room, and one & half baths. As a remote location this is a real comfortable place to return to...
