When you visit Alaska and plan a fishing trip really depends on your overall preferences. July is overall a great month. If you're looking to plan a fishing trip for king salmon, late June through the first week of July is a good bet. From approx. July 16 through the end of the month, we have a great mix of salmon species running into our river simultaneously: sockeye, pink, chum and silver salmon. Rainbow trout fishing is great throughout the month of July. Weather is typically favorable with high temps in the 60s and 70s in July. The first half of the month tends to be drier than the 2nd half, but overall very comfortable. Please let us know if you have additional questions we can answer!
