This classic hotel on the Mekong River in Chau Doc really works. It has that old-fashioned, super-comfortable feeling, fans swirling overhead, breeze coming through the lobby with the street on one side and the river on the other. Very comfortable room, excellent restaurant.

We were here as part of a river cruise group. This was a nice surprise as it was clean, well maintained has a lovely river view and the staff was friendly. Would definitely not hesitate to return here again!

We only stayed one night in this hotel on route to Cambodia. The room was a good size with all facilities, and a nice walk in shower. We had a balcony with a nice view over the pool and river, but strangely, no chairs to sit and relax. The restaurant is good with a lovely veranda overlooking the river. This...

Great place to spend a few days. Pool and eating area are very relaxing. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Since it is located near the river, don't forget your mosquito repellent. The restaurant has terrific baguette, as well as french and vietnamese culinary delights.

We were only in transit and I think this is the main purpose of the hotel. The hotel itself is nice, though it faces the very busy and loud river which you can hear all night and early morning, let alone while trying to relax by the pool. It served its purpose but would not recommend coming here to have...

We were most impressed by the unique experience that Chau Doc and this hotel offers. We stayed 3 nights and could have easily stayed longer. The building is glorious in stature and sits highly perched along the vibrantly bustling Mekong. This makes either dining on the terrace, relaxing by the pool or sitting out on the balcony an amazing viewing...

Amazing riverside location, with a very comfortable terrace, where you can either eat, maybe sip a drink while listening to bypassing boats and the occasional muezzin; or why not take a swim in the pool. The food is good, I particularly recommend the green papaya salad. Fitness freaks should know that the fitness area is kind of basic, though. Friendly...

We stayed one night in this elegant colonial style hotel. The rooms are large with fantastic views across the river. Having looked around Chau Doc we decided to dine at the Bassac Restaurant in the hotel and had an excellent meal. Eating the Vietnamese dishes the food was not as expensive as I expected although we did notice that the...
