Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for just one night before going trekking and doing a homestay with a lovely girl called Song. We got a comfortable and spacious double room with an ensuite bathroom for $15 for one night.

The staff were nice enough but we seemed to be the only people there and the woman behind the desk seemed terrified of me - she spoke no English and didn't seem willing to try and reach a mutual understanding despite the language barrier. One of the men flatly ignored us when we tried to ask a question, but the other man seemed much friendlier. They let us use their phone free to organise our tour with Song. So a mixed bag there!

All in all a nice place to stay for a night and the room was great but I struggled with the staff a bit. I would stay again but only for a short period.

I took a 3D2N package in Sapa which includes transfer from Lao Cai Station, Accommodation and 2 Tour Packages to a few villages. The hotel venue is good and it has really good price.

The Hotel Manager is really friendly and he will speak really slowly to ensure that you understand him. Also, he wore a blazer to welcome us, that's rather impressive. When we enter the hotel, we were served with Tea before going to our rooms.

As Sapa is really a cool place, they don't have aircon, but they do have fans if request for it. But the downside about the hotel is that the Beds are really hard, you may want to take note of this as some of us will get really uncomfortable with it. What's good is that the beds are really big and the facilities including the toilets are quite clean.

The breakfast's omelette is good so, that will be nice to order.

I have a tip for tourists who wants to take up their package. It's good to check out the type of lunch you are entitled to for your tour. Like if you prefer Bread or Rice, please do let them know in advance.

Oh and they arranged pretty good tour guides. But what's common in Sapa is that, in every tour group you go, there will be alot of villagers who will follow you throughout to sell you stuff.

Sapa is pretty though:)

We stayed one night in Sapa Cozy 2 and the staff was great! The breakfast and coffee was exceptional and cheap! The one complaint would be that the beds are rock hard! I would recommend staying at Sapa as it's cheap and it's a nice place with friendly staff!

We booked a superior room and wanted to stay 2 nights. We actually checked out before even sleeping here for 1 night. The room was too cold to stay there. You can see your breath condensating in the air. It was even to cold to sit in the room with shirt, hoodie and a proper Jacket.

We asked for a heater twice, but just got the answer that "the rooms are not heated". The heating blanket did only work on one side and was not close to compensating the room temperature. The staff did not excuse for the cold rooms at all. Seems like they don't really care about how their customers feel.

We checked out at 7pm. Still had to pay the full rate. We would be happy to pay part of it, but full rate is kind of not fair. The argument was "we can't sell the room anymore tonight.", which is ridiculous because the hotel wasn't fully booked.

We are also unsure how the rating of TA is so good. Maybe fake reviews? But don't want to accuse them.

Still there are plenty of other hotels around which charge similar and have warm rooms.

Hope this review helps you in any way. Safe travel.

The hotel seems nice in a very first moment and the staff will do everything possible to make you fell good, like giving a free breakfast, but they will use it to gain your trust and then charge you very expensive tours!!!

Be aware that in my case the guy in the reception, I believe it was the manager, charged almost double for a tour!! When I confronted them, after doing and realizing it, they offered me another tour for a cheaper price to compensate, but I saw on the same day he charging the other guests a high price again. So expect smiles and some gifts, but be sure that they will take it and more back from you other ways.

We stayed here 2 nights. The room was ok, breakfast was good. You could order a meal and a drink from a menu. Staff was a bit slow though. The negative thing was the laundry service. I received underwear which wasn't mine, which I gave back but now I lost my own underwear which they never found. Also my white laundry wasn't white anymore but it had pink spots, which didn't make me happy obviously. The negative thing was that I had to ask all the time but luckily they helped me out by giving me a discount. Also the WiFi did not work in the room.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Actually, it was such a great trip ever. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Especially, the manager made breakfast for us. How honored we were!! If there is a chance, we'd like to come back here again.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights. We had a very great stay. The staff are extremely friendly, informative and very helpfull. We booked a few treks and tours with them which were both very good. We also hired a motorbike from them. It is in a good location and the rooms are big and clean and ridiculous value for money. Cheapest place we have stayed.
Defiantly recommend staying here and Sapa, it is beautiful.

The place was easy to find, the location was fine, and the hotel was tidy and clean. When we went to bed, however, it seemed as though there were a lot of people in the lobby being quite loud until around 10, and the noise continued in the street in front of the hotel till 11ish. If it weren't for the fact that we paid $11 for our room is probably give the review 3-stars but for the cheapness of the room it was worth it.

"We arrived very early from the sleeper train and were given a free upgrade from Cozy Hotel to the newer Cozy Hotel 2. We stayed one night in the family room with a small balcony (not for sitting on) and two nights in a standard double room. Both were great sizes but due to it being pretty cold when we were there in November they could really do with some form of heating as they were quite uncomfortably cold to change/shower in. We did have a kettle and complementary tea/coffee as well as toiletries which was nice for a budget hotel where you don't often get these. We did have a visit from a tiny cockroach one night but it came I. Through the bathroom window which unfortunately wouldn't close properly. Breakfast was great with a good selection and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating/friendly. We couldn't book the regular sleeper train with them which would have been helpful but you can book bus or more luxury train travel with the,. For the super decent price and staff performance I would definitely stay here on my return, but maybe when it's a little warmer!"
